Canadian Association of Black Insurance Professionals (CABIP)’s Post

The members of the Canadian Association of Black Insurance Professionals (CABIP) family who had the privilege of being taught by Lyall, understood not only his passion for teaching but his unwavering support of this organization. Since our launch in 2021, Lyall did not miss an opportunity to attend events, promote the organization, recognize the talent in his classes, and encourage them to do more. Some of those students are CABIP's co-founders. Lyall: thank you for the endless memories. The broker world - and industry - will miss you and your reggae vibe (if you know, you know). RIP…. #brokersrock #hawaiinshirt #educator #cabipmember #cabip

It’s with profound sadness we share the loss of Lyall Bell who passed away suddenly May 30th. Lyall was a fixture of IBAO’s Education Team and our primary Licensing Facilitator. He taught and inspired thousands of brokers, instilling a passion for their new profession. He was a key partner in our Broker LaunchPad program and a contributing author of the Becoming an Insurance Broker textbook. Lyall was a superfan of the broker channel. Every week we’d hear him lead a classroom chant, “Brokers! Rock!” Even after his retirement from IBAO, he kept in close contact with staff, providing ongoing guidance and support. We’re grateful to have worked so closely with Lyall and know his wisdom will be passed to future generations through his many contributions to broker education. Sending our deepest condolences to Lyall’s family, many friends, and all who loved him. https://bit.ly/4bYaQPG
