Starting January off on a high 🙌 There's noting better than giving women #toptips on getting ahead in tech and being recognised for their efforts 🙌 As our 16-week accelerator will soon be coming to an end, we spoke to our #womenintech cohort about writing an award winning nomination.... award season is upon us soon and we'd love to see our cohort get recognition for being superstar women in technology 🚀 Our Founder Rav Bumbra, who has been an awards judge for numerous awards for the last 5 years, ran a fantastic session that covered; ⭐ how awards make #rolemodels visible - inspires others to join in - attracts recruiters - accelerates careers 🌟 award winners have great stories - learn the art of storytelling - it takes judges on a journey and draws them in 🌟 understanding the gaps - accomplishments aren't just about the day role, they cover how someone advocates, sponsors and champions not just women, but the next generation of girls to take up space in tech. Things to get involved with could include; supporting internal and external women's networks, speaking to girls about navigating pathways, volunteering time to mentor girls and women, speaking on panels to share wisdom and strategies for success. 🌟 don't be afraid to self nominate - only you know yourself best, so get comfortable with talking about the great things you do and are 🌟 writing a great nomination takes time - start the process now, so you are fully prepared when nomination lines open And don't forget 🌟 testimonials add great value, add this to the additional information - get your supporters to write a few lines about why you are so awesome and the impact you created 🙌 If you have anymore #toptips to share, add them to the comments below 🔽 🙏 #womenintechnology #awards #techawards #nominations #advice
