In the second quarter of 2024, Aberdeen saw a total office take-up of 59,000 square feet spread across 27 deals. This was an increase of 13% compared to the same period in 2023 and aligned with the five-year average for this quarter. For the first half of the year, the total take-up reached 91,000 square feet across 40 deals. This represented a 29% increase in the number of deals compared to the first half of 2023. In terms of Grade A office space, Q2 saw a take-up of 5,000 square feet, which was lower than the previous year. Over the first half of the year, the total Grade A take-up was 7,500 square feet, making up 8% of the overall total. For more information, please see:

Q1 2024 take-up in Edinburgh totalled 72,000 sq ft across 26 deals. This was 15% down on both Q1 2023 and on the five-year average. However, the number of deals was only 10% lower than Q1 2023, with 23 of these under 5,000 sq ft, demonstrating a continuation of occupiers' preference towards smaller office space. Grade A and Prime accounted for 42% of the take-up, at a total of 30,000 sq ft. This was marginally below the Grade A take-up for the same period in 2023. See more:

The City of Edinburgh Council has more than 19,000 employees, but approximately 4,500 frontline working colleagues don’t have access to a council email address or access to council IT systems. The The City of Edinburgh Council presented in this webinar, how and why they wanted to launch the intranet solution, ‘Jadu Central Gateway’ - the secure Extranet / Intranet Platform from Jadu. The Council has more than 19,000 employees, but approximately 4,500 frontline working colleagues do not have access to IT systems. Their ambition was to enable access for those colleagues – giving them the same access to the same information as those who are IT-enabled. Jadu Central Gateway allows 'external' employees access to: ☑️ Information on PAY and BENEFITS ☑️ HR policies which support their employment with the Council ☑️ Internal communications ☑️ Guidance on wellbeing support and initiatives. This project was a big part of their ambition to ‘build a digitally inclusive culture’ and ensure ‘no one is left behind’ but was also important to their wider digital and people strategies.
