Designing & delivering net-zero policies, strategies and implementation to tackle the Fleet, Mobility and Infrastructure needs of councils, companies, communities, charities and countries
You BETTer believe it - electric trucks are an increasingly promising option: Cenex analysed 2.5 years of vehicle activity, 21,000 journeys, 275 MWh energy consumption, and a range of journey distances from 95km average to 573km max. What did we find out after all that? - Average e-truck driving efficiency is 0.9 - 1.2 km per kWh; - Seasonal temperature variations have a significant impact on range; - Regenerative braking can add nearly 1/6 to range; and - Size of payload has a greater impact on urban driving efficiency than motorway. 360-degree steering eliminates the need to stop on a traditional 3-point turn. This not only saves time on each and every turn, but it means less force on the load making transporting goods safer and more stable. That’s just one of the many standout features of our EDiA EM 3-wheel electric trucks. See what else they can do to help streamline your work: https://hubs.ly/Q02jsdqS0 #electricforklift #threewheelforklift #electriccounterbalance

The North American Council for Freight Efficiency recently completed its Run on Less-Electric Depot event, showcasing the performance of 22 battery-electric vehicles from 10 depots. This initiative aimed to assess the real-world efficacy of BEVs across various applications, resulting in valuable insights for fleet operations. Key findings from this event highlight the importance of accurate planning for charging infrastructure. Contrary to common assumptions, many EVs returned to base with less battery usage than anticipated, suggesting that charging needs may be less intensive than previously believed. NACFE’s report also emphasizes the need for collaboration among fleets to optimize charging resources and the critical role of reliable data to drive EV adoption. Fleets can enhance operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary infrastructure investments by moving away from oversimplified assumptions and embracing real-world data. #ElectricFleets #ConstructionIndustry #Innovation #Sustainability
