Hasler-White finds the solutions your organisation needs in the face of unprecedented challenges. Rooted in actual experience, I deliver uniquely inclusive group workshops for organisations tackling complex problems.
The problem of supply and demand 🏡 💡 Demand for affordable housing massively outstrips supply. If local councils want to manage the overwhelming shortage of housing, then having local residents that understand and feel empowered about their housing options, is a part of the solution. It plays a part in: 🏡 dignity, relationships and respect - knowledge is power 🏡 making sure that only those that should be on the list are on the list 🏡 agency - knowing your options gives you more confidence in knowing what you’re aiming for We make time for these conversations as well as bring our expertise around housing to the conversation. In this visually engaging example with Emmaus UK in Colchester, Emily Newman explored all the different places people have lived before (grey dots), where they’d like to live (red dots) and where people are going to aim for now (green dots). They compared the different pros and cons to decide which to move forward with and what they should do next. Thank you Colchester Borough Homes for supporting this work and seeing its value 🙏 Claire Staddon #housing #homelessness #safeandsecurehome #councils #prevention #dignity #values #skillsforlife

🌟 Fostering a Harmonious Condo Community 🌟 Condo owners have rights, duties and responsibilities. Here is how you can exercise them to help foster harmonious condo communities: Stay Engaged: Read updates, notices and financials that your board sends you. Ask for records through proper channels when you want more information. Get Involved: Your vote counts! Make sure to attend your AGM and other owners’ meetings and vote on important matters. Volunteer: Why not run for election yourself? Being on your condo board can be a rich and rewarding experience. CAO’s training helps you prepare. Should Canadian neighborhoods adopt HOAs? 🏘️ I know it’s a double-edged sword and the old adage "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind. But I've seen so many charming neighborhoods, once full of pride of ownership, now converted into weed-infested parking lots. 🚗🌾 Municipalities have publicly proclaimed that they do not have enough by-law enforcement officers to investigate all community complaints. This raises an important question: could HOAs provide the needed oversight to maintain our neighborhoods' beauty and value? What do you think? Are HOAs the solution, or do they create more problems than they solve? Share your thoughts below! #CanadianRealEstate #Community #Homeownership #PJR #RealEstateDiscussion --- Feel free to tweak or add any additional points you'd like to include.

Could this be the first step towards creating a more resilient community? Working alongside the Harrogate Civic Society we want to create a new vision for Harrogate with more input from local people. Through creating a neighbourhood plan, local residents can have more influence in what their communities can look like, and Tuesday's event showed us there's a huge amount of interest in getting the process started: "A show of hands at the end revealed overwhelming support to progress the idea, which means a forum will be created to take matters forward." https://lnkd.in/efSbqq-c The forum will consult with people in Harrogate to find out what issues matter most to them and if successful, we can move onto the next stage.

I'm proud of Houston for leading the way. Kelly Young & I sit on Midtown Management's Board together. We had a recent conversation about what Houston's unhoused population needs & it boils down to 3 things: 1️⃣ Affordable Housing - like REAL affordable housing 🏘 2️⃣ Getting Drug Dealers off the streets - they target the unhoused which makes getting them off the street EVEN harder. 3️⃣ Funding - we had a ton funding via COVID, but that's now GONE. It costs ~$1200/mo to house someone, there are less than 5,000 unhoused folks in HTX, that's ~$72M annually...That's NOT a huge number. AND I'm going to add a Number 4️⃣ Talk to everyBODY about this | REGISTER to Vote | Vote | Write a letter to your local city council person | DO Something - don't think it's not your problem too. https://lnkd.in/gpX93tH6
