🇩🇪 Germany's two TV #publicbroadcasters, ZDF and ARD have launched a new open source initiative for their joint #streaming network. Both broadcasters have co-developed a single platform which hosts both their content, and are now making the important components behind the platform – such as recommendation systems, or the design system – open source. 🧐 Why? 📊 October's Nielsen Gauge report is out and The Roku Channel continues to grow, up 12% this month 📈 , making up 1.8% of TV time. What's not mentioned in the report, is that Roku is THE leading TV streaming platform in the US overall and acts as a key driver in growth to The Roku Channel and ALL the other services measured by the Nielsen Gauge.
