Some very relevant findings here that support FE too, especially for delivery, assessment and learning
We have published a new report on the Teaching Excellence Framework 2023. It presents a comprehensive qualitative analysis of provider submissions and panel statements, broken down by features of excellence. Our report is designed to demonstrate the extent of work happening within the sector, extracting key themes and areas of learning from what has been recognised as outstanding practice, to support the sector in preparing for the next iteration of the TEF and also the broader enhancement of their provision. While only providers in England participated in the TEF, we hope this analysis will be useful for providers across the UK. The report – Evaluating Excellence: TEF 2023 Submission and Panel Statement Analysis – explores what we can learn from this latest iteration of TEF about outstanding and impactful practice in relation to the core features of the student experience: teaching, learning and assessment; course content and delivery; research, innovation and employer engagement; staff development and academic practice; learning environment and academic support; learning resources; and student engagement. The report also includes a foreword by Dr Diana Beech, CEO of London Higher. 📑 The full report is available on our website: https://lnkd.in/d4YvcUEY QAA's Lead Policy Officer for England, Helena Vine, has written two blogs on some of the key findings of the report: 🟢 On our own website, she looks at how the TEF can bust some of the biggest myths about higher education: https://lnkd.in/dxYmnNcy 🟣 And for Wonkhe, she at looks at what the TEF tells us about strategies to challenge and stretch students to achieve their full potentials: https://lnkd.in/d-ZheD2S #TEF

On today's episode, we talk about why it's important to choose a school on the DLI list. With the recent policy by the Canadian Government, international students are advised to always confirm that the institution they're planning to attend is on the DLI list. This list contains Educational Institutions that are accredited by the Canadian government to host International students. The official IRCC website, listed below, contains a searchable database where you can find designated learning institutions by Name, Location, or Study programme. I hope you've learnt something new today, make sure you LIKE, SHARE and COMMENT for more informative content like this. Link- ircc.canada.ca #CanadaDream #jestoneeducation #StudyAbroad #Dreams

Any presentation that starts with ‘some of the things I want to talk about today are a little bit depressing’ and reference to a 'funding cliff' are always going to get my attention. The Tertiary Education Commission's CE Tim Fowler's presentation at the Independent Tertiary Education NZ (ITENZ) conference today highlighted the significant changes taking place in the tertiary education sector - structural changes, the vet reform and how to make a 'group of polytechs' financially viable, the overarching economic and fiscal environment and the slow return of international students. Tim advised that this is putting a lot of pressure on the government's ability to fund the demand for tertiary education and training. Tim's proposition to us as Private Tertiary Establishments (PTEs) is that we deliver on these four things: 1. Deliver the EFTS that we have been provided. Massive over-delivery is just as problematic as under-delivery 2. Deliver those EFTS in government priority areas 3. Drive learner outcomes and in particular – qualification completions 4. Maintain high levels of financial viability In other words - lets keep doing what our Quality Tertiary Institutions (QTI) members have always been good at - setting and maintaining high standards in the tertiary education sector. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀! 📝 All Awarding Organisations (AOs) publish their exam timetables well in advance, helping you plan your study schedule effectively. These timetables typically list exams by subject and paper, specifying the date and whether the exam will be in the morning or afternoon. Some AOs even offer additional timetables organised by chronological dates. If you're viewing CAIE’s timetable, remember that the UK falls under Administrative Zone 3. If your required exam series isn't listed yet, don’t worry - it's just not published yet! Keep in mind that AOs sometimes release 'provisional' timetables that can change before the final version is published! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eaJiQE7M #arcexams #arc #education #learning #students #student #knowledge #learn #exam #assessment #fees #birmingham #grades #grading #gcse #igcse #homeschooling #homeeducated #privatecandidate
