Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana (CAGLA)’s Post

28 years ago, a remarkable day unfolded - my Hodgkin's Lymphoma went into remission. This life-altering event at 20 years old, though terrifying at the time, reshaped my life's priorities and relationships. I remember it every May 8th, cherishing my good health as a precious gift. My battle with cancer has brought countless new and cherished relationships into my life. For all those who have supported my cancer philanthropic efforts, I extend my deepest gratitude. Your support fuels my passion to find a cure for this terrible disease. Sincerely, Chadwick K. Landry

I say phuck cancer a lot. I had shirts made when I was going through treatment and even let my staff wear them at work. The PH is an obnoxious play I do with my love of that four letter word. Some people are offended, my at the time 17 year old was in the checkout line at the grocery wearing a shirt and “Karen” told him it was offensive. He replied, “To cancer?” I received an email from another “Karen” that I shouldn’t allow my staff to wear them. It wasn’t my idea, they were rallying around me and my family I wasn’t going to rain on their parade. Phuck Cancer is an attitude, a mindset you need to embody when you’re in the fight. You clearly had that attitude and still do. Keep doing your thing, as we know it effects far too many families and there isn’t a lot of hope for a cure. Groups like yours provide some hope. Phuck Cancer, Phil
