An indoor workout became even more rewarding when I combined it with our quarterly webcast, which is generally streamed live during late evenings in my part of the world. Speaking of the webcast, if I had to pick one word or phrase that captures our strong 🚀 Q1 performance beyond the impressive numbers (+11% Sales Growth and +22% Operating Income), it would definitely be — teamwork 🤝. Here are three moments that truly resonated with me: "I believe this is a unique tangible example of what makes #novartis so special. We do this to make sure patients are not left behind - no matter where they are." - Victor Bultó on the power of teamwork behind one of the successful therapies. "We always talk about heroes. My heroes are our scientists, and our frontline workers who dedicate themselves tirelessly to support our mission of finding these incredible medicines and making people live longer lives," - Vas Narasimhan on the heroes we find in our midst at work. A special note of gratitude to Steffen Lang who gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the delivery challenges of one of our successful therapies.
