We recently celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for an expansion of our Stanley, NC (Charlotte, NC MSA) self-storage property. The expansion will feature five class-A climate-controlled buildings totalling 57,000 sqft with 60 RV and boat storage spaces. We expect to begin leasing in late-2024.

We are now leasing our two newest expansions in Murrells Inlet, SC (Myrtle Beach, SC MSA) and Summerville, SC (Charleston, SC MSA). Both feature climate-controlled storage units and covered RV and boat storage. Leasing is off to a strong start and we are excited to deliver additional expansions in Charlotte, Hilton Head, Charleston, and Savannah through 2024 and 2025.

We are making great progress on two self-storage expansions in Summerville, SC (Charleston, SC MSA). SafeNest Beech Hill Rd will feature 123,000 gross SF between climate-controlled storage units and covered RV and Boat parking. Leasing is schedule to begin in 2Q24. SafeNest Central Ave will feature 143,000 gross SF between climate and non-climate controlled storage units. Leasing is scheduled to begin in early 2025.

Canvass Capital LLC, in a joint venture with Barings Real Estate, is pleased to announce its latest self-storage acquisition in the Charlotte, NC MSA. The property, which closed in February 2024, is a self-storage property with 82,000 rentable square feet ("rsf") across 430 storage and parking units. This acquisition increases the Joint Venture's portfolio to 28 self-storage properties totaling over 1.4M rsf and 9,200 units.

The expansion will feature a Class-A, 3-story 95,000 sqft climate-controlled building with 145 paved RV and boat storage spaces. The RV and boat storage is complete and leasing today and we expect to begin leasing the self-storage in mid-2024.
