What are Click bait visuals? I recently created a social campaign private chef special over at Chef Taki and the results have been controversial. We had a comment on FB that the chef should have more self worth because the cost is too cheap. 😂 While at the same time we had leads from past customers who have shown interest but never booked due to price factor. And new customers looking for specials. People like bargains. And price points get clicks. Because people value transparency. And you’re selling to people not algorithms. At the end of the event the final price will not be that special per person. Because the up sell menu makes the chef service experience unforgettable. And people want the full experience. Making this visual click bait worthy. Because the price is inclusive to all customers at the minimum price per menu item. Ie 1 main meal per person. Exactly what the picture says in words. And if you’ve experienced teppanyaki dining before. Then you will know that this price is reasonable for the experience exchange you would gain at the restaurant. The chef cooks in front of you on a gas top - restaurant like experience. And you get to enjoy the meal with rice only. Just like at the restaurant. There are always extra options. Like starters for example. And they are considered cross sells. And they are important for up-selling your service. And you should not include them in your service price. Rather explain from the start once the customer contacts you what the special price is all about. Including the minimum price, cross-sells and up-sells. When you align your campaigns like this. Autheticty comes through your brand reach. People get the sense that you genuinely have a love for your craft. Because you make the service inclusive to all at some point through specials. What are your thoughts? Would you be trigged by this price? How can you make your service more affordable without cutting the running expense cost? Cross-selling and up-selling can work that magic. If you’re a freelance chef, food entrepreneur or small businesss looking to up sell your service. Let’s connect.
