Let's talk about IMPACT! We're into Week 2 of Summer Internships at Walmart! Leading up to summer internships, I've had awesome discussions with interns on the question, "How do I crush my internship?" Let's discuss "Crushing it!" One crucial piece of advice is to treat your internship as if it's a full-time job. Show up on time, meet your deadlines, and be professional. Understand the company and team's missions and how your role and project (s) contributes to it. Show initiative, go beyond your assigned tasks, and never be afraid to ask questions. And yes, you can always talk to your recruiter. I promise all interns that this level of commitment and dedication will not go unnoticed and can open doors for future opportunities. Lastly, "Embrace the journey!" That is a line I use on my email signatures and holds true to everyone's career journey. Data Analyst @ Bosch | Student Success | Enabling students gain clarity and confidence in communicating their unique value
It’s been a week since I started my internship at J&J supply chain. And I’ve already learned so much. - I have learned about the impactful work being done at the CAR-T vein to vein department. - Met incredible and helpful colleagues. - Already completed 2 tasks applying my Excel skills to analyse data, spot trends and make recommendations. - Been in several meetings to understand more the workings of the team. - Had some internal online trainings to learn more about the company in general. - Gradually adapting to the culture and falling in love with the company. - Have started my personal reading on forecast analysis. One major challenge has been understanding the processes but I’m asking questions and reading around it. Reflecting on this week, I’ve learned that being curious and resilient is crucial in a new role. Asking questions and exploring areas I’m not yet familiar with has helped me better understand complex processes. This approach has reinforced the value of actively seeking knowledge. Looking forward, my aim is to sharpen my analytical skills and deepen my grasp of supply chain management. I plan to make a more meaningful contribution to my team by pinpointing ways to improve our efficiency and by developing practical insights that propel our projects forward. It’s been exciting and challenging yet I’m optimistic about the prospects of this internship to apply myself adequately and grow professionally. Looking forward to next week. How has your week been? P.S. If you’re an intern, I’d love to know how it’s going at your end. How long have been in your internship, which company and department and what are some key lessons you have learned? __________________________ Follow the hashtag #thisinternkan for my internship updates.

Do you want an internship this summer? Internship recruiting season is upon us. Do not go through a recruiter for internships, that is not your best resource. Do the research on your own and apply directly or through someone in your network who can connect you directly to the internship program managers. This is the month to get on it -- the more organized places (and, don't you want to work at an organized place!?) have things deep in motion by 3rd week of February. And other industries (like finance) are recruiting now for Summer of 2025. Posting this internship from Stryker for the following reasons: - it's located in a major marketplace: building your professional network is easier and will bear more fruit over your lifetime if you are located in a major market - Stryker is oftentimes voted a "Best Place to Work" -- they are more likely to treat you well! - Healthcare AND supply chain mgmt are both robust and growing industries; and also areas where we need new thinking. I wish you all the best in your search(es). beth https://lnkd.in/dPC5jkyR
