A year after the 9/11 attacks, we all faced a changed nation. Many of us felt fear and anxiety; others felt compelled to do more. National Day of Service was launched in 2002 to come together with a common purpose: to commemorate the tragedy of 9/11 through volunteer service. In 2009, Congress designated September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. This day is marked as a day of service to give back to others in a meaningful way, remembrance in tribute to those lost or injured, and to pay homage to others who rose to service. Each year on 9/11, nearly 30 million Americans take time to volunteer, support charities, and perform simple good deeds. @CapeFoxCorp believes strongly that by strengthening our communities and our families, we are making ourselves stronger. This year, we encourage all to show the spirit of caring to honor the memory of the first responders, members of our military, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage and put their lives on the line to save others. Let’s stand up to give back. Lowered the level of Mississippi River once, produced first marathon on Antarctica, sacrifical politician X3, a little bit country & a little bit city, pappa to three young'ns, worked in 50 countries & all 7 continents.
FACTS below.
If you hear on social media or any other source that resources aren’t in WNC and more aren’t coming from federal, state and local governments as well as nonprofits, churches and other organizations, that is completely FALSE! The problem now is getting the resources needed to the places that need it and to the people who need it on a timely basis. That’s a huge challenge despite so many working 24/7. This is supply chain management on steroids. In the first several days after this disaster I advocated for a military response as civilian resources were overwhelmed. Neighbors are helping neighbors. Churches are showing the love of God by helping their communities. Nonprofits from across the country are here helping. Ordinary people are doing extraordinary things. But it still isn’t enough. We are personally fixing a NCDOT road because they can’t get to every road and bridge immediately. Two major interstates from Tennessee will be closed until 2025. Shout out to everyone who is supporting us because we know people across America and the nation are donating, volunteering, praying and doing so much. It’s a great reminder that we are in this together. We know you’ve got our backs. ❤️🙏🏼

By joining hands, we’re making San Diego a better place for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Your generosity today can change lives—please consider donating now. Share: Spread the word by sharing our campaign with #SanDiegoGives. Let your community know that supporting our active duty, veterans, and military spouses is a cause worth championing. This is the moment to make a difference. Your support today will help veterans and their families gain the resources they need to thrive in civilian life. Let’s honor their service by standing with them now.
