Advising on Sale/Leasebacks for business acquisition. In the last week, we've seen two SLB deals for business acquisitions. We do the following: - Confirm building stats (age, sq ft, lot sizes, etc) - Determine market rents, market vacancies, market sales comps - Underwrite the property to determine SLB value - Advise on all of the above, with a focus on leases and lease terms This helps business buyers, search funds, and PE groups make educated decisions when it comes to real estate (likely your most strategic issue). A great way for DSOs to fuel growth is through sale leasebacks. DSOs gain a competitive advantage in real estate acquisitions by securing properties at a discounted rate as owner-users. Then they can structure a long-term lease and sell the building for a significant spread.
