Great read. There is always a hot topic in vet med, Non-competes being 🔥 at the moment and I couldn't agree more with Dr. Tancredi. There are better ways to increase retention as some just want to save the investment and local interest of the clinic. Vet Med is fighting so hard to compare themselves with human med in pay and labels but yet, a human med contract comes with a very large non-compete. We talk about #saveprivatepractice but what about that tech that has heart issues and needs health insurance that is not supplied by private practice, or it is but comes with a huge deductible and is not affordable? STOP fighting to fight and know there is room here for everyone. Find your culture, find your fit, and the rest will fall into place.
