EUROBIKE Show is just around the corner.
For us, it’s an incredible opportunity to exchange views with the leaders in our industry.
To facilitate the process, we are going to turn our booth into an agora and organize two panel discussions around innovation and sustainability, starting from two of our latest projects.
How can we give new life to discarded saddles?
How can we make comfort truly personal?
Join us at our booth A24 on Wednesday, July 3rd, and on Thursday, July 4th, to find out.
With Riccardo Losio, Lara Cunico, Sandra Brandt & Giovanni Fogal, Daniel Schade, Gerd Manz.
Maria Escarti Barcia and David Valls Manclus, director and project manager of our office, couldn’t miss eMobility Expo World 2024 official presentation 🚗⚡.

Key Takeaways from the BMW rad°hub 2024!
As promised I share with you the key takeaways from the vibrant BMW rad°hub, where I took part in the BMW's Future Scenario Workshop, a global gathering of around 40 thought leaders. The mission? To collectively envision and define our future in the year 2050.🚀
But first I would like to share how our group envisioned 2050 in the end of the masterclass:
✅ In the future, human communities will be digitally empowered, embracing sustainability and change through technology. Connectivity is considered a fundamental human right, fostering trust in technology for a balanced coexistence of humans and innovation. Organized literated micro-communities, deeply connected to nature, envision spending significant time outdoors for holistic well-being.
✅ The focus will be on regeneration and liberating ourselves from connectivity constraints, both digital and enabled by technology. This vision emphasizes diverse connections – with nature, with other humans, and with other beings on Earth.
✅ Another important part of the future are new regulations that gain control over technology and rebuild trust. This global perspective will lead to a consensus on the need for regulation as a basis for the responsible integration of technology into human society.
👉 And now back to the key takeaways from the event:
1️⃣ Optimistic Future: The workshop emphasized the need for an optimistic outlook on the future, envisioning a positive impact in 2050 despite current global challenges.
2️⃣ Integrated Sustainable Mobility: The vision for 2050 includes seamlessly integrated, AI-driven mobility with a focus on sustainability, covering the entire lifecycle from production to battery recycling.
3️⃣ Ecosystem-Based Business: The future business landscape is expected to shift towards an ecosystem-based model, urging companies to think strategically, collaborate, and adapt their business models for success in 2050.

From its automotive roots to a dynamic platform ⏩
On the 8th of September our Global Partnerships & Communications Lead, Tamlyn Shimizu, and our Global Private Sector Expert, Mackenzie Banker attended the world-renowned IAA MOBILITY expo in Munich.
The IAA MOBILITY event has a rich history in the automotive world and is now excitingly shifting towards Smart Cities and sustainable mobility solutions that are driving innovation like never before. IAA it's now a dynamic platform for showcasing and discovering the right technologies that will shape our urban future.
"IAA MOBILITY brought the biggest companies from the mobility and technology sectors worldwide and many startups to Munich. The past few days, the numbers, and personal conversations prove: IAA MOBILITY is the cross-industry international platform for the future of mobility" says Hildegard Müller.
At BABLE Smart Cities, we're excited to announce our upcoming partnership with the Smart City team at the exhibition in 2025.
💭 Our shared goal?
To transform traditional conversations and spaces into forward-thinking, connected, human-centric, and resilient multi-modal mobility dialogues.
Special thanks to Patrick Keller and Jessica Delvos for the warm invitation! We'd also like to recognise the contributions of Dr. Marina B. and Simon Bellin to the Smart City space. Together, we'll be forging new paths towards a smarter, more sustainable future.

📣 We are happy to announce the first speaker at the MOQO Summit 2024 and today we want to share her thoughts on Shared Mobility with you: Anna Mayerthaler from ÖBB 📣
Anna is pursuing the vision of a connected and sustainable mobility. Under the ÖBB umbrella brand, she links services and providers on the wegfinder platform with the aim of bridging the first and last mile of rail travelers in Austria.
At the MOQO Summit in May, Anna will be talking about the challenges and opportunities in implementation, particularly in relation to bikesharing. She has already given us a first insight and her current market assessment in advance →
➡ Where do you see opportunities and obstacles on the way to an integrated and connected mobility?
The opportunity with shared mobility is clearly to slowly expand the range of services so that modal split changes become visible. And the most important thing here is visibility in the public space and the right quantity of offers per use case. From the platform perspective, the challenge is to achieve penetration and awareness among end customers so that the impact increases.
➡ What lessons have you learned over the years in setting up the bikesharing service?
An important learning is certainly that as a product owner you start with a wealth of product features only to realize in the end that not everything you wanted is really essential for the end customer. And in our specific case, the "sandwich" position between two IT service providers (iMobility/wegfinder and MOQO) was a challenge.
➡ How do you think the mobility market will change in 2024?
Some segments are in the process of consolidating (eScooter/on demand). I think a few strong providers will remain here. Overall, awareness of shared mobility and on-demand will continue to increase among decision-makers and customers and will increasingly become part of public services where proprietary systems will not work without subsidies.

Amazing that the Battery Pass project made it to #IAAMobility2023. A keynote was given by Tilmann Vahle (Director Sustainable Mobility & Batteries, Systemiq Ltd.) on Battery Pass and #Batterypassports.
He took the opportunity to present Battery Pass at the VDE & Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) IAA Mobility Procurement Days. In a specialist setting of some dozens procurement professionals from the automotive industry, he shared an overview of sustainability in the automotive and batteries sectors, the newly enforced EU Battery Regulation, and battery passports.
The session showed: there is lots of interest, but so far little awareness among these functions in the industry of the requirements that are going to face them very soon.
Since these demands will be comprehensive – ranging from performance and business requirements to sustainability metrics such as CO2 and circularity – more needs to be done to enable Procurement department professionals in the automotive industry to respond appropriately.
🎯 The Battery Pass Content Guidance is a great place to start.

Additionally, Battery Pass was brought by FIWARE to the group stand of the German Smart City Association / Bundesverband Smart City where it experienced quite some interest from those working in the #mobility sector of Smart Cities programs.
This time, almost 750 exhibitors from 38 countries presented performance strengths and innovations in Munich city center - #batterypass left its mark as well!
