Denmark has established itself as a leader in achieving double wins for business and the environment using circular economy principles. Case in point: a partnership between RGS90, Rockwool, and Combineering A/S. They've been partnering to collect used insulation and discarded porcelain and sanitaryware to upcycle it into new insulation since 2012. Here's how it works: ➡️ Danish recycling centers send construction waste to RGS90, which specializes in waste processing and recycling. ➡️ After removing unwanted materials, RGS90 separates recyclable Rockwool insulation and Rockfon acoustic panels from non-recyclable insulation. ➡️ Porcelain and sanitaryware are crushed and repurposed at the Rockwool facility to produce new, recyclable insulation. Currently, Rockwool's proprietary Rockcycle® program is active in 21 countries, with plans for expansion to 30 countries by 2030.
