Statistician and communicator @ UNECE: supporting national statistical systems to meet society's data needs with censuses and administrative population data systems.
Last day to submit your abstract for the #UNECECensusWeek 2024!
📢 Submit your abstract now to contribute to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Census Week 2024 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, 7-11 October! 👨👩👧👦 A #census of population and housing is one of the most fundamental statistical exercises, lying right at the core of national statistical systems and providing the basis for many social, economic and environmental indicators. ✅ Most countries in the UNECE region have undertaken a census in the 2020 round, whether by asking everyone in the country to complete survey questions, or by compiling information from registers and administrative data. Methods for conducting these censuses are evolving rapidly across the globe, harnessing new technologies, new data sources and innovative approaches to communicating with the public and publishing findings. 💡 Our #UNECECensusWeek will explore the cutting edge of these trends, and how they are shaping our #cesUNECE Recommendations for censuses of 2030 and beyond. Send us your abstract here https://lnkd.in/dSuzVw-w by 31 May to share your experiences, research or innovations in the following areas: ▪ Revising the Conference of European Statisticians Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses for the 2030 round ▪ Lessons learned from censuses of the 2020 round ▪ Innovations in dissemination and communication throughout the census lifecycle ▪ Transformations in population statistics. ➡ More info on the events of Census Week (workshop 7-8 October, expert meeting 9-11 October), including how to register, here: https://lnkd.in/dHNpjRHF #cesUNECE #UNECECensusWeek #ECESD
