The club event, which was rebranded Loughderg100 last year, has really grown from strength to strength with over 100 cars taking part this year. Update on the Fan Dance Race: 24km Up Pen Y Fan in Wales, Carrying 22kg First of all, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I raised just under £1800 for Mind charity, and your generosity means the world to me. The day started with prime conditions, but the weather soon took a turn for the worse with 21km/h winds and rain! Due to these adverse conditions, the organizers kindly extended the Special Forces cut-off time by a whopping 10 minutes, giving us a total of 4 hours and 10 minutes to complete the challenge. This was by far one of the most testing challenges I have ever undertaken. I want to extend a massive thank you to my training partner, Paul Allun. We helped each other get through this grueling experience. The return leg was particularly tough, with strong winds and rain making the ground slippery and the climb even more challenging. Paul and I stuck together through it all and ended up finishing joint 4th. In true “Ollie” fashion, we finished within the selection time by just 1 minute, completing the race in 4 hours and 9 minutes. The sense of achievement was incredible. All the hard work and training paid off, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our placement and time. Once again, thank you to everyone who sponsored me and supported this cause. What's next...? #MentalHealthAwareness #FanDanceChallenge #SupportEachOther #MindCharity #Achievement #Endurance #Teamwork #WhatsNext

Kaitaki-a-tīma, Waka-ā-rohe / Team Leader Travel Choice | Kaitiaki & Co-founder, EkeRua ReBicycle Charitable Trust
For the past 8 years, I've spent my spare time working on this little charity, EkeRua ReBicycle. Except it's not so little anymore. Somehow it got quite big. From a few bikes in our garage and a few friends helping fix them up, we've grown to having 3 containers full of bikes, a full workshop, and a team of contractors and volunteers running up to 4 fix ups and training sessions a week. We've supported two other workshops in the region to get firmly established - shout out to Motuhenga and Free Ride. And most importantly, we've given out over 2500 bikes to people who need and wanted them. And we've done all this mostly with volunteer time. I always say, whatever the problem, the solution is a bike. Save money, improve your health, your mental well-being, lower carbon emissions, make or see friends, get to work or school, increase confidence and independence. Bikes are a multi-tool for our community well-being. But this important mahi needs funding to run it. Shoestring budgets don't pay staff bills or replace tools and parts. So we're asking for help. We want to raise $10 for every bike we've given out so far - that's $25000 - to help cover costs of our new workshop and to keep our fix ups going over winter. Can you help us? Sponsor a bike, or three, for $10 each? Or sponsor a Fix up night, or ten, for $100 each??? Regular donations are the best, but right now, we just need to get through winter. Help us out, donate what you can, and please share this link! https://lnkd.in/gAQdxm6i
Help kit out EkeRua's new workshop!

National Ride2School Day fundraising Next Week on the 10th March I am an official wave leader for a cycling Event in Victoria which is 235km and over 4500m in vertical meters being Peaks Challenge. My role is called the Lantern Rouge and its to ride at the 13hr time cutoff but ultimately it’s about helping each participant reach their goal to finish the day on the bike. It is without a doubt the hardest one-day ride in Australia and takes many months planning and a lot of luck and determination on the day. This year Bicycle Network of which I am a member (not for profit) are raising funds for their National Ride2School Day The below Link is my fundraising page and any donations will be greatly appreciated. https://lnkd.in/gxCKZcmF YOUR DONATION IS SUPPORTING BICYCLE NETWORK Our Ride2School program is under threat For 17 years, Bicycle Network's Ride2School team has been setting young Australians up for healthy futures by promoting physical activity as a part of daily life. Our program reaches hundreds of thousands of students around the country through bike education workshops, neighbourhood route planning and National Ride2School Day, Australia's biggest celebration of active travel. The Victorian Government has funded the program since 2006, but this agreement has come to an end and the future of Ride2School hangs in the balance. As a registered health charity, we know the value of bikes and physical activity when it comes to preventative health. Ride2School is our way of passing these tools onto the next generation. We've never turned to the public to support our flagship behaviour change program before, but if there's one thing we know about people and bikes, it's that they always stop to help when someone's in need. And that's where we find ourselves. Even the smallest of contributions will help set our children up for happy and healthy lives. All donations will help our Ride2School team continue its life-changing work. $25 could pay for a road safety awareness session for one student $50 could pay for a bike education skills session for one student $100 could pay for a training session on an adapted cycle for one student $500 could pay for a Bicycle Network-hosted active travel day at one school $1000 could pay for an active travel map outlining safe routes to get students to one school $5000 could pay for a complete Ride2School program for one school Your donation is tax deductible and will help us empower students to build their confidence and develop healthy habits for life. Ben Gove To keep the Ride2School program running we are after an immediate injection of $50k by the end of financial year so our team can continue to work closely with schools, students, parents, and local ...

Problem Solver || DADx2 || Triathele (turned runner) || 2008 American Eagle Outfitters Music TASTEMAKER (ask me more)
2024 is going to be an exciting year for me! I'm starting my career in AI and taking on my first marathon. I'm thrilled to race for the The Morton Arboretum team in October at the Chicago Marathon, and I'm raising money for The Morton Arboretum, which focuses on preserving trees, research about trees, and promoting healthy relationships between humans + nature. If you're interested in supporting this journey, please visit my fundraising page https://lnkd.in/gHjf6ZFy. In addition to the marathon, I'll be racing every month this year to get ready for it, with some highlights being the Belfast Half Marathon, Flying Pig 10K, and Spring Break 10K. I just finished the F3 Lake 5K with a personal best time of 24:00 (7:50 pace) - a proud accomplishment as I couldn't break 9:00 pace last year! As someone who has been an avid triathlete for many years, I've always struggled with running. I hated it. I would run hard, feel terrible, and loathed each running session. Then in 2022 and again in 2023, I got into 2 bad bike accidents. Once while completing, both while traveling downhill. Its rattled me. I decided to take a pause on triathlons for a moment as I work through the fear I have from being on the bike and focus on running (but wait I loathe it...right?) That's until I discovered the 80/20 running method (s/o Maureen Ferrara), which promotes longer runs at lower intensity to reduce injury and make running more enjoyable and 20% of your time at very high intensity. It's changed my viewpoint, and I'm now running 20-30 miles a week and looking forward to my next training session and race! This year I want to explore how this method could be applied to sales and work, to prevent burnout and increase productivity. More to come on this topic! Could AI help us by allowing us to make 80% of our work more low intensity so we can focus on the 20% at high intensity? I also want to discuss stigma. I use tools like Strava to publish my training runs. Well, my training runs are slow (on purpose). I see so many other runners crushing these times. Living in a comparison culture, doing what is actually helping/best for me is sometimes challenging to post to my community. Can sales culture learn from this? Does AI have stigma attached to it as well (absolutely) ... but can it actually be a major benefit to win bigger, yes! Join me on this journey by supporting The Morton Arboretum and following my progress! #running #ai #aiadoption #runningcommunity #runner #marathon #chicagomarathon #mortonarb #fundraising #aiforsales

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. As the weather gets nicer, it's important for drivers to be aware that more bikes will be on the road. There are great nonprofits that support road safety and motorcycle safety, such as the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, the country's leading safety resource and advocate for motorcyclists, the State Motorcycle Safety Association, which provides leadership for state administered motorcycle safety programs, and Road Guardians aka Accident Scene Management, which offers first responder training for motorcyclists to help those in motorcycle crashes, and "create a group of two-wheeled Good Samaritans." If you work with, volunteer for, or donate to any road safety or motorcycle safety charities, please tag them in your giving in journey in Benefact4 so others can learn more and further support the causes you love. FREE download for one year for all who download before June 1. https://lnkd.in/eYyc2JwD Stay safe this weekend and always! #roadsafety #saferoads #nonprofit #nonprofits

Anthropist, Apiarist, Guinness World Record holder. Super proud co owner of Millwood (a B Corp), Co Founder at Woodmor in 2020, Co Founder of Sophie&Izzy 2005/07 who talks about Equity, Sustainability Growth.
📣 Calling all professionals in London! We need your help please. On February 11th, 2024, at Victoria Park, in partnership with RunThrough I will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon dressed as a 3D aircraft at an official RunThrough event. This is just a dress rehearsal for the big one in April, where I'll be attempting to break the record for the fastest full marathon dressed as a 3D aircraft, all in aid of London's Air Ambulance Charity 's #upagainsttime appeal. I'm very grateful to Eyre & Elliston for kindly paying for my costume (Hugo), and to the amazing firms listed below for sponsoring my year-long journey, with all funds going directly to LAAC. However, I need your help to make it official. I'm in search of: 1 x Independent Witness 2 x Independent Time Keepers The witness should be a professional person from Public service, Legal service, #accountant #Lawyer #Police, or any other relevant field. The role of the timekeeper (professional #Coach, #PT, #peteacher #persontrianer etc.) is to ensure that any time-related aspects of the record are recorded accurately. NB: This role is crucial in all records based on or dependent on time. These records rely on accurate timekeeping, which cannot be done by the witnesses, as their job is to concentrate on the attempt itself. A timekeeper for a record attempt should have experience keeping time. If you can help me with any of these roles, please drop me a line here. I appreciate any support you can offer! Sponsors: Eyre & Elliston Global Fire Equipment UK - Official Capital Maintenance Ltd Daniel White Consort Frozen Foods The WoodMor Foundation C.I.C Millwood Servicing Ltd Let's break some records and raise awareness for a great cause together. #GuinnessWorldRecord #LondonAirAmbulance #fundraising #halfmarathon #marathon #3daircraft #sponsorship #independentwitness #timekeepers ##upagainsttime

As many of you know, at Badge of Life Canada, we are passionately serving those who serve others through our support of Horse Sense North's Above & Beyond Program for public safety personnel. To date, six successful programs have been run with excellent feedback, and currently, Horse Sense North has a waitlist of over 30 people eager to participate. Horse Sense North is seeking financial support, and while they continue to pursue traditional funding sources, the process is often slow and filled with barriers. This is why I'm reaching out with their crowdfunding campaign, "Above & Beyond: Helping Human Heroes with Horses." We don't want our public safety personnel to wait any longer for the support they need. Horse Sense North and Badge of Life Canada want to provide immediate assistance to those on their waitlist. https://gofund.me/b94ba7ec I respectfully request that you visit their crowdfunding page and consider doing the following three things: 1. Watch the video at the top of the page. 2. Donate to this campaign—no amount is too small. 3. Share this campaign with others in your community who understand the importance of providing life-changing and life-saving support to public safety personnel now. Together, we can make create change! #Badgeoflifecanada #SupportOurHeroes #PublicSafety #Crowdfunding #AboveAndBeyond #HorseSenseNorth #MentalHealthMatters

Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. It's fair to say that the RNA Family is filled with automotive enthusiasts. We love cars, we love driving, and a lot of us have spent time on race tracks - some semi-professionally. Scott Spielman, MBA, MPM and Tony Intrieri, the dream team who created Rally North America, know that we all love a chance to play on tracks we might not otherwise get the chance to visit. So it was in 2023 when we ran hot - OK, warm - laps around Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway. Running in multiple heats, we got to experience what NASCAR racers see of the track. I did it in a rented Audi, though, so it was at a much, much lower speed. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 🏕 ☀ This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me. #fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661
