Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand, stated, "Despite its very affordable price, our car will set standards for the entry-level market in terms of technology, design, quality, and customer experience." In the domestic market, electric vehicles already account for 50% of car sales, with manufacturers continuously lowering prices. However, in Western markets, electric vehicles remain more expensive than internal combustion engine cars, and market acceptance is still low. Volkswagen emphasized, "While we are accelerating the electrification process and introducing models to meet the needs of different consumers, we remain committed to our electrification strategy. Volkswagen has just announced an entry-level electric car in the price range of € 20.000.
