Director at re:find: successfully helping business leaders to find the talent to deliver change.

I quite often get asked how hiring managers can ensure they are selecting the right candidate for their vacancy. Of course, as part of my role at re:find I always help with that process and only put forward suitable candidates - but, what then? How does the hiring manager choose? Here are some reminders of the things we can do to help us with those important decisions. #Recruitment #ExecutiveSearch #CandidateSelection

I heard one method is to take the CV’s and throw half in the bin as no one wants to hire unlucky people.. haha. Seriously, I’ve found that when you have a great agency such as re:find Interim and Executive Search who provide great candidates who can adequately do the role AND know your business so are in-tune with your cultural fit, then it comes down to other areas such as ability to grow, personality and ensuring cognitive diversity needs are met. I was once part of a global LT where the leader of the group had hired in his own image and 12 of the 14 shared the same psychometric profile - we struggled! So cognitive diversity in my view is as important as any other representatation. Just my $0.02 worth from the other side of the fence.
