Helping clients deliver organisational change through leadership and projects - support, training, systems & facilitation
So I'm off to a Health and Safety Fair, no doubt there will be lots of tools and equipment on show. Obviously these are important means to working safely and managing risk. However, I've seen many great tools end up as a wasted resource because they weren't supported by the right 'why and how' and backed up by standards for their use. Leaders need to do more than just front the cash, they need to ensure that there are supportive systems and standards. Moreover they must be willing to role model and reinforce these standards in pursuit of excellence.

Empowering (Inter)national Teams: A Week of Comprehensive Safety Training 👷💡 Our week-long #safety training program was carefully designed to provide our (inter)national employees with comprehensive training on key safety protocols. A wide range of topics were covered throughout the program, including: ⚙️ first aid ⚙️ Handling of hazardous materials ⚙️ Safe operation of industrial machinery Beyond promoting safety in the workplace, our training emphasized the importance of international exchange and #teamwork. Through joint activities and problem-solving exercises, our team members had the opportunity to learn from each other's different experiences and perspectives, strengthening our relationships as colleagues. Team building is an important topic at the centre of the safety week. An interchanging daily programme consisting of wine tasting and dinner brought the employees together. 🤝 Overall, our week-long training experience was a mix of knowledge acquisition, practical skills building and international networking. This equipped us with the expertise and teamwork necessary to ensure the best safety standards in our operations. #teamURT #safetyatwork #safetytraining

Got WC problems? I have solutions! I love to chat about #workerscompensation #claimsmanagement #safety #reducingrisk #employeesafety
More great information for you! While all of these topics are good, I am especially drawn to #2 & #4. When was the last time you reviewed your company driving policy? Do you even have one? What about talking to your employees about preventing trips, slips, and falls? As someone who has seen thousands of work place injuries in my career- I can tell you prevention is key. Taking a proactive, engaged approach to employee safety can do wonders for your workforce. Show your employees you care about them! Talk safety to them and then lead by example. Let me know if you ever want to talk Work Comp- it's one of my favorite subjects to discuss 😎 #employeesafety #beproactive #nationalsafetymonth

“HOW SAFE ARE YOU?” A safety campaign is a strategic initiative to promote safety and well-being at the workplace or community by creating awareness of potential hazards, mitigate risks, and promote safe behaviors and practices. Our safety campaign takes many forms, such as safety training, campus safety & security awareness and other communication materials through social media. So the big question still remains “HOW SAFE ARE YOU?”

#AllInForSafety During the period of April 22nd to April 29th, we had the pleasure of celebrating Safety Week, emphasizing the importance of safety in all aspects of our operations. Throughout these days, our company reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing safety in all aspects of its operations. In achieving safety, it is important to collective action. Together, we can make a real difference. Here are a few initiatives we have undertaken this this Safety Week: 🚗 Driver Awareness Campaigns Employees gained insights into safe driving practices, hazards on the road, and strategies to mitigate risks. This heightened awareness fostered a culture of responsibility and caution, leading to safer behaviors among the workforce. 🔥 Fire Prevention and First Aid Workshops Workshops on first aid and fire protection were organized in Poznań, where every employee acquired essential skills such as fire extinguishing techniques and smoke-filled room evacuation procedures. 📚 Educational Workshops: - with an Inspector from the State Labor Inspection for people who have supervised employees - with Staci Smith referring to the requirements of Construction Safety - with Agnieszka Guz-Morawska - concerning workers' health 🤝 Awareness Campaigns: Training on the management of chemical substances and waste is crucial for ensuring the safety of employees by teaching them proper procedures for handling hazardous substances and minimizing the risk of accidents. As a result, the training enables employees to respond quickly to potential accidents or chemical leaks, minimizing potential harm to people and the environment. This has been an incredible week, full of inspiration and engaging conversations! Let's make Safety Week not just a week of heightened awareness, but a springboard for ongoing efforts to prioritize safety in all aspects of our operations.
