Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19th. But many events are scheduled to begin this week. Since it was declared a federal holiday by President Joe Biden in 2021, many workplaces have chosen to honor in various ways. Obviously, some are giving employees the day off. Others are finding ways to celebrate at work with food, music and presentations. The company Workplace has created an article about honoring this holiday in the workplace. In addition to sharing the history, helpful information and suggestions on how to honor Juneteenth, there are also some great links. One is a list of more than 500 online Juneteenth events. There are also links to scheduled celebrations around this country this weekend.
