Absolutely it is! It’s the process of doing, being and living in the moments of what is available to us. Our Interventions are the methods in which we approach each individuals needs and Occupational Therapy is how we deliver it.

I’ve begun to ponder on this idea. That what we do is the process rather than specific interventions. The interventions are just part of the process. They can at times seem simple but because it’s individual and part of our process makes it therapeutic. I wonder if we get stuck thinking that this or that is occupational therapy but I wonder whether we would be more free and confident if we saw occupational therapy as the process and the interventions were just what they needed to be. It is so easy to lose sight of this in our world that wants to quickly label OT as this or that but it just isn’t that simple. What do you think? Does this resonate?
