🌍 Celebrating World Environment Day at The Pollination Project! 🌱 Today, on World Environment Day, we at The Pollination Project are reflecting on the powerful impact of grassroots initiatives in driving environmental change. Over the past two years, we have had the privilege of funding over 250 projects dedicated to sustainability and ecological conservation. Our mission is to empower individuals and small organizations around the world who are passionate about our planet. These seed grants have helped to launch a diverse array of projects, from local reforestation efforts to innovative wildlife conservation techniques, and community recycling programs. Each project we support not only nurtures the environment but also fosters strong community ties, involving local stakeholders in activities that have immediate and lasting benefits. This collaborative approach ensures that the seeds we plant today will bloom into sustainable practices that protect and enhance our natural world for years to come. On this World Environment Day, we are inspired by the dedication and creativity of our grantees. We continue to commit to seeding change, one project at a time, encouraging everyone to take part in protecting our planet. Let’s make every day an environment day! #WordEnvironmentDay #reforestation #recycling #wildlifeconservation #philanthropy #grantmaking #grants #heartivism #changemakers #activism #nonprofit #volunteer

Since 2016, World Green Line has been actively working on the Oxygen Bank Project aimed at fighting deforestation and reducing the carbon footprint in the environment. As part of this initiative, we planted trees in the premises of schools across the Bokaro District. We encouraged individuals to participate in our plantation drives by planting trees to commemorate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, and personal successes. Through these efforts, we aimed to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and contribute to a greener, healthier planet. Activities done in 2023-24 included: Plantation drives in schools and institutions. Training and awareness sessions to mitigate forest fires. Awareness campaigns to stop garbage/leaf burning. #worldgreenline #program #oxygenbank #intership #volunteer #volunteering #volunteerism #bookdonation #saveenvironment #ngo #environment #chas #bokaro #csr #SaveNatureForFuture #SaveNatureSaveEarth #sustainability #CSR #csrteam #saveenvironment

Happy Arbor Day! 🌳🌲 Arbor Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the beauty and importance of trees while promoting environmental stewardship. Here are some ways you can celebrate: Plant a Tree: The most traditional way to celebrate Arbor Day is by planting a tree! Whether in your backyard, a local park, or a community garden, planting native trees helps beautify the environment, improve air quality, and provide habitat for wildlife. Attend a Tree Planting Event: Many communities host tree planting events on/near Arbor Day. Joining one of these events allows you to contribute to local reforestation efforts while connecting with fellow tree enthusiasts. Volunteer for Environmental Causes: Offer your time to help care for the environment in your community. This could involve watering young trees, helping with cleanups, or participating in sustainability events. Support Tree Planting Organizations: Donate to or volunteer with organizations dedicated to tree planting and conservation. Many nonprofits and government agencies work tirelessly to protect and restore nature worldwide. However you choose to celebrate Arbor Day, the important thing is to recognize and honor the vital role that trees play in our lives and our planet's health. Every tree planted and cared for is a step towards a greener, more sustainable future. #ArborDay #EarthMonth #KeepNebraskaBeautiful

Indigenous peoples are earth's best guardians: though they make up only 6% of the world's population, they protect 80% of our planet's biodiversity. 🌎 For thousands of years they've passed down traditions that respect wildlife, protect their land and forests, and preserve ecosystems. They're the best protectors of our planet. On Indigenous Peoples Day, we're reflecting on the importance of protecting them, their land rights, and their traditions. Over 16% of World Centric's Giving Program dollars last year went to Indigenous-led nonprofits working to protect Indigenous land rights. You can support these incredible nonprofits too: 🌱 Aliados: connecting small and indigenous farmers to responsible markets through regenerative agriculture 🍃 Amazon Frontlines: partnering with Indigenous peoples to protect the forest they call home 🌿 Ofrenda A'bunna: purchasing and protecting Arhuaco ancestral land in Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta 🌱 Rainforest Action Network: preserving forests, protecting the climate and upholding human rights by challenging corporate power and systemic injustice 📸: Ofrenda A'bunna
