Since 2016, World Green Line has been actively working on the Oxygen Bank Project aimed at fighting deforestation and reducing the carbon footprint in the environment. As part of this initiative, we planted trees in the premises of schools across the Bokaro District. We encouraged individuals to participate in our plantation drives by planting trees to commemorate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, and personal successes. Through these efforts, we aimed to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and contribute to a greener, healthier planet. Activities done in 2023-24 included: Plantation drives in schools and institutions. Training and awareness sessions to mitigate forest fires. Awareness campaigns to stop garbage/leaf burning. #worldgreenline #program #oxygenbank #intership #volunteer #volunteering #volunteerism #bookdonation #saveenvironment #ngo #environment #chas #bokaro #csr #SaveNatureForFuture #SaveNatureSaveEarth #sustainability #CSR #csrteam #saveenvironment

Update: We were not sure if we could actually get the weight of the skip contents for our World Oceans Day cleanup at Xemxija, so we estimated around a ton for the total. But we did in fact get the official weight from Veladrians Cleaning Services, and when all the official numbers we added up, we were amazed to see that we had actually removed a total of 2.25 tons of rubbish from Xemxija Bay. That is incredible! Once again, well done to everyone. This is huge, but it also highlights the enormity of the problem we face. #worldoceansday #sustainability #volunteering #givingbacktothecommunity #igamingnews #notoplasticmalta #plasticpollution #cleantheoceans #igamingindustry #csrinitiatives

Indigenous peoples are earth's best guardians: though they make up only 6% of the world's population, they protect 80% of our planet's biodiversity. 🌎 For thousands of years they've passed down traditions that respect wildlife, protect their land and forests, and preserve ecosystems. They're the best protectors of our planet. On Indigenous Peoples Day, we're reflecting on the importance of protecting them, their land rights, and their traditions. Over 16% of World Centric's Giving Program dollars last year went to Indigenous-led nonprofits working to protect Indigenous land rights. You can support these incredible nonprofits too: 🌱 Aliados: connecting small and indigenous farmers to responsible markets through regenerative agriculture 🍃 Amazon Frontlines: partnering with Indigenous peoples to protect the forest they call home 🌿 Ofrenda A'bunna: purchasing and protecting Arhuaco ancestral land in Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta 🌱 Rainforest Action Network: preserving forests, protecting the climate and upholding human rights by challenging corporate power and systemic injustice 📸: Ofrenda A'bunna

Our year, 2024, started off in Matheran, a slice of the Western Ghats. It made us realize how much we yearn for the quaintness of nature that we do not get in urban regions. I was even ready to trade anything for fresh air and greenery. Matheran, along with other hill stations risk losing their evergreen trees and biodiversity if future development proceeds unchecked. While I hope for the best, there are things that we can do to preserve and restore ecological balance of the planet. This year’s World Environment Day theme is Generation Restoration, one that gives us the hope that what’s lost can be regained. Paresh and I have been educating ourselves and adopting environmentally friendly practices to reduce harmful impacts. As avid travelers, we always follow local waste management rules, recognizing the significant burden tourists can leave behind. We also educate others about these practices. While there is no compromise on that, here are a few sustainable habits we pledge to embrace. - Donate saplings and encourage those with gardens or land to plant trees - Donate clothes and household items in good condition. - Encourage adults to donate used books and children to read them. - Consciously minimize water wastage. Will be sharing the updates on these efforts in the coming months. Do share some of the practices you follow and the progress you’ve made. PS: Having a partner (parent, spouse, sibling, friend, or anyone else) makes it easier to stay mindful and committed to sustainability. #GenerationRestoration #EnvironmentDay #Sustainability

Transforming Our Future with ESG 🌱 Today at Spencer Ogden, as we acknowledge Global Turtle Day 🐢, we're reminded of the delicate balance within our ecosystems and how our actions reverberate through the environment. #GlobalTurtleDay isn't just about these ancient mariners; it's a call to step up our ESG objectives. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aren't just buzzwords—they're the pillars guiding us towards a sustainable future. As we embark on this journey, we've committed to three core objectives: 1. Minimise our Carbon Footprint 🌍 - We're reducing energy usage and waste in every office, reminding us that small changes aggregate into significant impacts. 2. Empower Communities 🤝 - Through local partnerships and volunteering, we're not just fostering change; we're part of it. 3. Uphold Transparency ✨ - We believe in the power of openness, providing clear ESG metrics and progress reports to all stakeholders. This Global Turtle Day, let's channel the steadfast perseverance of turtles as we strive to create a greener, more equitable world. Every step we take echoes through our global community and across our shared home. I personally support the Sayulita Turtle Camp in Mexico. A local charity supporting the preservation of Olive Ridley Turtles. I have included their donation link if you want to join me in supporting them. What are your ideas for driving ESG initiatives forward? Drop a comment below! 🌟 #ESG #Sustainability #FutureIsNow
