Happy New Year Everyone!! This is my 26th Season in the Fitness Industry. I can truly say, that I have learned more, over the past 3 years, than I have my first 23. That’s not to say, I wasted 23, but more that I am on a mission to understand this huge demographic of individuals that try their best to start on a wellness journey for their New Years Resolution, all to give up within a couple months. Why is that the case? Is it because “we”, as a fitness industry have placed success on “results” at the end of a journey, instead of the results one benefits from daily? Or is it because we focus on the physical benefits over the mental? Or is it because we make the journey too hard for most? Either way, I challenge all of us to look at fitness from a different lense. Just because fitness may come easy for some, I would argue it is a lot harder for most. No worries, there are plenty of easy, cost-free ways to do it. 🎉 Good news! You don’t need to tackle it all at once. Spreading your activity throughout the week can bring health benefits, even if you break it into short bursts of exercise throughout the day. 1️⃣ Take a stroll with your partner or child. Whether you're into dancing, running, gardening, or anything in between, hobbies can greatly contribute to your physical fitness and overall wellbeing. So what sets this apart from the typical run or gym session? Because it’s rooted in individuality and the pure joy of getting immersed in an activity you truly want to be doing. Maybe walking your dog, gardening or cleaning your home – whatever comes naturally!! 3. HAVE FUN EXPERIMENTING IN THE KITCHEN… Take some time every day preparing your meals and cooking.
