The wait is over, for the first time in Bangladesh, the National Qualifier for PUBG Mobile is set to take place for the World Esports Championship. The event will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where champion teams from around the world will represent their countries. This tournament, hosted by IESF, has been organized for many years now.
To understand IESF in simpler terms, we can compare it to the ICC in sports. The International Esports Federation (IESF) organizes the World Esports Championship, and Bangladesh has been participating in this tournament for many years, but this is the first time for PUBG Mobile.
Let's learn about how the WEC24 qualifying system works. Essentially, PUBGM teams will participate in the National Qualifier through open registration. Then, through various online qualifiers, the top Bangladeshi team will advance to the next stage, qualifying for the Asia Regional, which could be an offline event. There, 32 teams will compete in group stages, and the top 4-6 teams from Asia will qualify for the main event, WEC24, in Saudi Arabia.
Some may wonder, those who have witnessed the Bangladesh Road to IESF tournaments know that all final rounds were held offline. This time, for other games as well, the finals will be held offline. However, since PUBGM is restricted in Bangladesh, our National Qualifier will be held online. In the current scenario, this presents a significant opportunity for Bangladeshi teams in PUBG Mobile, as when your team qualifies, it won't carry the team name, but will directly represent Bangladesh, similar to what happens in Asian Games or other national tournaments.
You will represent your country and if successful, in the near future, there will definitely be more national tournaments in PUBGM. If this continues, the role of PUBGM will undoubtedly rise. Prepare your team to present yourselves nationally. For this event, our official media partner is ESNBD. Rely only on information from these two sources and avoid confusion from other sources, as there might be a lot of misinformation shared due to PUBGM being relatively new in Bangladesh.
