🌸 On this International Women's Day, ULIS celebrates the remarkable achievements of women athletes and reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding integrity and fairness in sports. ⚽️ We are proud to continue our involvement in #Integriball2, a project co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by the CSCF - Sport Integrity Group. This initiative aims to raise awareness about integrity issues in football, with a special focus on empowering youth and women players. As part of our contribution, ULIS will support the Integriball 2 training sessions, which will kick off in Romania on 25 March in collaboration with the Romanian Football Federation. These sessions are designed to provide education and resources for women football players to identify, prevent, and report competition manipulation. 📣Playtech releases its latest responsible gambling report for Latin America. The report "Consumer Insights and Trends in Latin America" provides a comprehensive analysis of the region’s gambling landscape, including sports betting. Based on a survey of 2'500 participants across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru, the report highlights key trends in player behavior, regulatory challenges, and the growing demand for safer gambling practices. 📊 Key insights include: ⚽ Sports betting: 73% of Brazilians bet at least once a week, and 60% think professional athletes should not bet on sports matches. 📢 Advertising regulations: 77% of Argentinians and 80% of Peruvians support stricter gambling ad regulations, while 82% of Peruvians believe companies should do more to help problem players. 🔒 Trust and security: 59% of Brazilians feel safer betting on legal, registered platforms, and 85% of respondents across the region are concerned about gambling ads targeting teenagers. 📢 The Integriball 2.0 project is on a roll! ⚽️ The research phase of the two-year educational initiative is now complete, with the implementation phase of the project to begin in March with the delivery of training sessions in Estonia🇪🇪, Georgia 🇬🇪 and Romania 🇷🇴. ULIS is putting the final touches on the preparations for the sessions, which will kick off in Bucharest on 25 March before moving on to Georgia and Estonia. The training will be based on data and learnings from the Situational Report and ULIS Monitoring platform, which features detailed analysis from fact-finding missions and surveys conducted in the three countries. Pilot trainings will test and refine the developed curriculum, while Train-the-Trainers workshops will equip a pool of local trainers in each country with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the curriculum effectively in the future. Each workshop will be tailored to the specific needs of the partner country. Integriball 2.0 aims to widely disseminate essential knowledge on countering sports manipulation, safeguarding practices, and whistleblowing mechanisms, ensuring accessibility for youth and female players alike. ⚽ ULIS is proud to announce that the The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) has become our new associate member. 🔸 Established in 1914 as the highest football authority in the country, the HKFA has been working on several integrity aspects, targeting grassroots football, youth training, women's football, and the training of coaches and referees. The organization seeks to enable broader public access to football and provide professional development for those aspiring to pursue a career in the sport. 🔹 HKFA General Secretary Mr. Charles Cheung Yim Yau, stated, "Having an associate membership with ULIS will support our efforts to combat the manipulation of sports competitions. We have previously collaborated with ULIS in educational sessions, and we look forward to benefiting from the full range of its services on prevention and detection.
