8 years ago I was the #global #CategoryManager for #CookandChill in #electroluxprofessional, I was promoting #everyday the #benefits of the cook&chill #process both for the #kitchenstaff, for the #environment and for the #customers, and did not know the meaning of "Social experiment". At that time a lot of people loved (and still love) to see the TV programs with #Chefs screaming to each others, smashing pots and tools in the kitchen and being constantly under #negativepressure. As a #professional of the #foodserviceequipment #Industry I knew this was not a show but the #reality in the #kitchens - and always asked myself two things "Why do they keep on doing it, if these are the working conditions?" and "Isn't there a #better and #healthier way to make the #customers equally happy and satisfied?" Then #tastethestress came, a #unique experience with great #colleagues involved, in which I participated 100% to the organization, execution and analysis, learned the meaning of #socialexperiment and finally received the #answer to both questions "Because they #love it" and "Yes, there is a more #sustainable way to work in the kitchen". https://lnkd.in/dCWfTyuh 8 years ago #electroluxprofessional was already addressing the #social part of #esg, one more proof of #sustainableleadership - and once more #pioneering the #foodserviceequipmentindustry #trends. Seeing Smokey the Bear at the National Cherry Festival Parade got me thinking: this is how you do marketing and storytelling right. I think Smokey the Bear is a great lesson in branding. Created in 1944 as a fictional symbol for forest fire prevention, Smokey became real in 1950 when a bear cub rescued from a New Mexico fire was named after him. Talk about a campaign with impact.
