The B2B start-up founder, who built/developed the product, should be the best person to demonstrate its value to customers and close sales. Hiring a professional salesperson may have some benefits, but it’s up to the startup to establish the value proposition, understand how to counter questions and convince new customers to buy before hiring a sales team to do the work.
