🎉 Happy World Creativity and Innovation Day! 👩 🔬 Today, April 21st, LIFE NextFumigreen celebrates the importance of giving free rein to our imagination to provide solutions to the challenges faced by the primary sector such as sustainable agriculture, the circular economy and digitalization.  🍃 LIFE NextFUMIGREEN is a European project that seeks to develop natural smokers, from active ingredients extracted from plant extracts, for the control of populations of whiteflies and other pests in horticultural crops developed intensively under greenhouses. The goal is to test the efficacy of a new fumigant biopesticide that is less toxic than conventional ones. With a total budget of €2,758,921.01, LIFE NextFUMIGREEN will contribute to improving food security, biodiversity and the professionalization of farmers in the use of biopesticides.   🙌 This project, led by FUMI-HOGAR in collaboration with B&B Asesores, Comercial Química Massó , BrioAgro España and the Fundación FINNOVA (EU), is an inspiring example of how creativity and innovation can make a difference in sustainable agriculture and environmental protection. 🌱 ForFarmers and Remediiate signed a letter of intent for further collaboration, a great step towards a more sustainable future! 🌱What we will do? The collaboration focuses on growing micro-algae that can capture CO2 emissions from industry at scale. These emissions would otherwise be released into the atmosphere. By then applying the microalgae in animal feed, the end product - the microalgae - adds value. This means: 🌍 Less CO2 emissions: we help industry reduce their CO2 emissions. ♻️ Circular economy: by using microalgae in animal feed, we create value and reduce the use of traditional crops such as soy.
