ESA Commercialisation Gateway
Aéronautique et aérospatiale
The ESA Commercialisation Gateway creates links between business sectors and ESA’s infrastructures and activities.
À propos
The ESA Agenda 2025 sets high priority in boosting commercialisation in the European space sector. Fostering commercialisation requires deep knowledge of markets, its actors as well as emerging needs and technologies. Not only the space sector itself is undergoing revolutionary changes, space assets and technologies have major impacts on terrestrial markets. The purpose of the ESA Commercialisation Gateway is to identify these opportunities and to create links between new businesses and ESA. By interacting and listening to the needs of industry and potential partners, the Gateway embraces a market driven approach while at the same time providing easy access to ESA’s technical expertise and programmatic support. The ESA Commercialisation Gateway provides visibility on space-related market trends and developments, innovative projects, programme activities, technical developments as well as networking and funding opportunities. The ESA Commercialisation Gateway is open to requests and collaborations from interested parties including industry, academia or public organisations to jointly expand or develop new commercial space activities. #ESA #SpaceCare #Agenda2025

On 9 October 2024, the European Space Agency - ESA held the 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 in Paris, recognising innovative ideas aimed at advancing Europe’s space capabilities. The event brought together industry experts and leaders to highlight achievements across five areas. One of these areas is 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓!, focused on developing high-thrust staged combustion engines, key for providing reliable access to space. These engines will play an important role in Europe’s upcoming space missions, aiming for more sustainable and effective transportation. Here the winners in this category that will now work with ESA to further develop their ideas: - Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA - The Exploration Company While THRUST! is one focus, the ceremony honoured achievements across all initiatives, each playing a role in building a stronger space transportation system for Europe. Stay tuned for upcoming posts about the other initiatives. Read more about the event and the projects here: https://lnkd.in/dRZcNPZx #Space #SpaceTransportation #SpaceInnovation

Earlier this week, FIRST! Propulsion, part of ESA’s Future Space Transportation Ecosystem Programme (FLPP), hosted a virtual Pitch Day that provided a platform for innovators across Europe’s space sector to present their ideas in propulsion technology. From 95 submissions, 13 launcher and in-space transportation primes, along with 19 technology providers, pitched their concepts at the event. Four key categories emerged from these submissions: - Hydrogen Peroxide Propulsion / New propellants for launcher and in-space transportation - Launcher and In-Space Engine Electrification, Sensors and Intelligence - Launcher and In-Space Engine Components Design and Technology - New materials and processes for launcher and in-space liquid propulsion These categories will shape the upcoming Invitation to Tender (ITT), opening in November. The ITT is open to both Pitch Day participants and new entrants, offering an opportunity to further develop technologies and secure ESA contracts.
