Thankfully the train runs straight to the front door of the NEC ☕️Bringing and using a reusable coffee cup. Over the lifetime of your reusable cup, you could reduce your carbon impact by almost 70% compared to using a single use take away cup. Even better yet, try and have your coffee to “have-in” rather than “to-go”. Furthermore the coffee outlets at the @necbirmingham give you a discount if you bring your own cup, so it saves your wallet as well. 🍽️ Eating out at events Think about your choices, maybe experiment a little. According to the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization, @fao , about 14% of all emissions come from meat and dairy production. Simply reducing our intake of these two foods can make a big impact. Opt for more plant based, or non-meat options and lower your impact, also consider where your fare has travelled from and where the ingredients were sourced from. 💦 Keeping hydrated - bring your bottle. It takes 162g of oil and seven litres of water to manufacture a single one litre disposable PET bottle. The bottled water industry generated roughly 600 billion plastic bottles and containers in 2021. Therefore single-use plastic bottles significantly contribute to pollution, even if they are subsequently recycled. So bring your refillable bottle and fill up from the stations around the venue, also tap-water is free so that’s another bonus! It is a way of life and the infrastructure within the city and its surroundings makes it so easy not just for locals but for visitors to experience how Copenhagen excels in these areas and there is consistent investment and action towards making it even better.     From 546 km of bicycle paths with car free bicycle bridges to wide bicycle lanes. Getting around by bicycle is a fantastic way to explore the city not to mention it is healthy and fun! If you are planning an event in the city and or having to transfer a group from one place to another, why not use the locals favorite mode of transport so they can experience the heartbeat and vibe of the city.   When it comes to sustainable gastronomy, did you know that Denmark has the highest consumption of organic food in the world per capita?
