With the new Academic Year fast approaching, we're looking back on some of our highlights from 2023-24. 🌟 In July we were delighted to support A&O Shearman's primary school event for Christ Church Primarybricklane. Year 6 students spent 3 days at the A&O Shearman offices, working and networking with volunteers from the firm and learning about changemakers and future careers. The students worked collaboratively to create presentations showcasing their innovative ideas for tackling huge global and local issues, all whilst developing their Skills Builder Partnership 8 Essential Skills, and we were so impressed with their creativity, teamwork and problem solving. 🗨 Following the event, a teacher at Christ Church Primary said: "It was brilliant for them to be in such an impressive professional environment, the opportunity for them to have so much extra support prior to the presentation also made them feel confident. It was such an enjoyable 3 days, brilliantly organised and run too! There are warm up ideas I will certainly continue to use in my teaching too. Thank you so much!" 💭 The students also shared their feedback from the event, and we loved reading their thoughts. We've included a snippet of these below 👇 Thank you Year 6!

Advice to new Pepperdine grads: Creatively and intentionally develop purpose, service, and leadership in your work. It's possible to be a self-centered worker in the nonprofit sector, just as much as it's possible to be an accountant or marketing exec living out selfless service. Don't let assumptions about your industry or seniority limit your intentional cultivation and application of core values and character. What would you add? 💙🧡 🌊
It's graduation season and we're excited to celebrate our seniors as they join the ranks of our esteemed alumni. As they prepare for their next steps, what advice would you share with them?

Yesterday, I had the privilege of discussing the next steps with recent graduates as they prepare to embark on new adventures after university. Their enthusiasm was truly inspiring! Having graduated myself just last year, I recall the mix of excitement and uncertainty that comes with this transition. Here are some tips for new graduates: ✨ Explore Opportunities: Keep an open mind to industries and roles to discover your interests. ✨ Network Wisely: Build connections with alumni and professionals on platforms like LinkedIn and through events. ✨ Continuous Learning: Embrace growth opportunities through online courses and workshops to enhance your skills continually. There is always room for improvement. ✨ Seek Guidance: Finding the right opportunity for you can be challenging so, don’t hesitate to seek career advice and support. Leeds Trinity University offers graduates up to three years of career support following graduation. For more information, reach out to careers@leedstrinity.ac.uk Congratulations to all the graduates!🎓🥳Your journey is just beginning, and I look forward to seeing your successes unfold. #LTUCompleted

The boundaries between segments hold tremendous potential, especially for both academic and CTE dual enrollment. Allowing this to be managed and tracked at the level of students and families, and schools and colleges is critical. However, without adequate software or personal technology these type of strategic and accessible dual enrollment options and pathways are only available to a tiny fraction of the school population and have to managed with adequate human resourcing, which is difficult in budget constrained times.
As I reflect on the wild ride that is ASU-GSV, I'm energized by the fact that "skills," "pathways," and "degrees" were mentioned together throughout the summit. To me, that signals that there is a growing commitment to delivering real value for students via strong pathways from education to career. We know that dual enrollment is often an important component of those pathways—that's why I'm excited to share our team's new learning deck. Check it out to learn about the history of dual enrollment, our hypothesis about what great dual enrollment programs look like, and the levers we have to make all dual enrollment programs great ones. Shoutout to Career Ladders Project, the Community College Research Center, and the Public Policy Institute of California for their partnership—as well as Bill Tucker and Sylvia Symonds, Ph.D. for their synthesis. https://lnkd.in/ddRxupij

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of Bay Path University and Cambridge College. Today is a transformational day for all of us here. I am incredibly proud of our fidelity to our missions, our commitment to the communities we serve, our teammates, and our impact on higher education. #StrongerTogether I am also grateful for you, Sandra J. Doran, Michael Giampietro, Kathleen Bourque, Natalia Blank, PhD, Stephen Healey, Niti Seth, Dennis J. Madigan, CMA, our Board of Trustees, and the rest of the teams that trusted me to lead Phase 1 of the acquisition. We did it! Special kudos to the Phase 1 project team; I am a better professional for working with you: Jeremy Anderson, Jessica Sabbagh (rock star), Brittany Riley, MBA, and Susan Poglinco, PhD (and the Core team). I am even more grateful for the continued confidence in me and our super-talented project team as we lead the next phase of this process: Tracy McLaughlin, Shirley Montovani, Madison McGrath, Jonathan Besse, and Susan Poglinco, PhD. Thank you for being tremendous partners, thought leaders, and accountability partners. I am super excited about the work ahead. Collectively, we will think holistically about what it means to serve students, how to continue to make a profound and lasting impact in our communities, and how to transform ourselves and our organization. #BayPathUniversityProud. #CambridgeCollegeProud. #Transformation.
