More study is needed to bring the potential medical benefits to light on the synergies between the compounds found in cannabis, according to a review of the research. “Understanding the intricate interplay between cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids is paramount for realizing the full therapeutic benefits of cannabis.”   The entourage effect has been widely discussed, often in reference to the user experience, but medical patients are learning to look for the combination of cannabinoids and terpenes that help the condition for which they seek treatment. The development of clinical trials in the use of medical marijuana is a very broad and very current topic. We have more and more scientific evidence on which diseases cannabis has a therapeutic effect on. However, we still need to exchange experiences and education in the clinical use of medical marijuana and the preparation of drugs containing cannabinoids. Therefore, I would like to thank the #CannMED24 Scientific Committee for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in the conference. For another year in a row, I could listen and learn from the best specialists and practitioners. On June 14-15, the “Polish Herbal Committee" is organizing the conference, for the first time with a session entirely devoted to the cultivation and medical use of hemp. Thank you for inviting me to co-host this session and for the opportunity to give the lecture "Safety of using medical marijuana". Through such activities and initiatives, we build awareness and create reliable knowledge about the neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of hemp raw material. Let's do this! The cannabis plant has been revered for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. Dating as far back as 2800 BC, cannabis was utilized to address a wide range of health conditions and was even documented in Emperor Shen Nung's ancient pharmacopoeia. Further research in the 1940s and 1950s delved into the exploration of individual cannabinoids, such as CBD. Nearly 80 years ago, significant strides were made in understanding these compounds. I've provided a link to this pioneering advancement. Although CBD itself is not a recent discovery, our innovation lies in the delivery system we offer. "A new federally funded study into the effects of cannabis terpenes suggests that the compounds could be 'potential therapeutics for chronic neuropathic pain,' finding that an injected dose of the compounds produced a 'roughly equal' reduction in pain markers when compared to a smaller dose of morphine. Terpenes also appeared to enhance the efficacy of morphine when given in combination. An enormous body of research on cannabis—and cannabidiol (CBD) in particular—has shown cannabis to induce strong anti-viral and anti-inflammatory effects.
