Cerbras, a national reference in the porcelain and ceramic coatings segment and present in the market for over 30 years, is an example in the industry recognized for its environmental, social, and corporate practices. Cerbras adopts various #sustainable practices that ensure product quality and reduce environmental impacts and as such, has gained the ESG-FIEC seal. Among these activities, the reuse of water from the production process stands out, as it operates in a closed loop: after use, it is sent to the treatment plant and returns to use in the production process. Additionally, Cerbras is a pioneer in Brazil in the use of #Biogas, one of the cleanest energy sources available today. It is also worth noting that Cerbras reintegrates manufacturing residues into the production cycle, such as uncontaminated clay powder and ceramic shards, as well as residues from the processing of granite from third parties, thus contributing to the circular #economy. These sustainable practices lead to a reduction in environmental and social impacts, while turning the production process more efficient and allowing for further positive recognition for the business. Today is Innovation Day 💡! That's why we're taking a closer look at two of the many innovative #chemical products in our portfolio: multi-purpose oil and universal spray Super 6+ 🔎. The ongoing success story of multi-purpose oil really began in 1952, when our subsidiary Caramba Chemie was the first #company in Germany to fill technical products in aerosol cans. It quickly became a bestseller. The Super 6+ by BERNER was developed in 1968 by our founder Albert Berner - his first own chemical product. Its launch marked the beginning of a new era for the company. "Chemicals have always been my passion," he says. Since then, both products have been continuously optimized by our #chemical #experts and more #innovative features were added. The BERNER universal spray, originally called Super 6, now has a much wider range of applications than when it was launched. The same applies to the Caramba multi-purpose oil. In addition, the new eco-version contains recycled used oil, replacing new oil from fossil sources - full performance, but better for the environment. Two great examples of how a high-quality product can remain innovative for decades! #pushingthelimits #innovationbyBERNER 🚀

30%. That’s how much Eastman’s energy needs are covered by own production residues. ♻️ Eastman’s factory in Kohtla-Järve, Estonia, produces benzoic acid, sodium benzoate, and plasticizers for export. During our long-term and smooth partnership, we have together taken circular economy to the next level. Managing the production by-products was resource-intensive and as the production volumes increased, finding an appropriate energy solution became crucial for Eastman. Our concept development team designed a practical and innovative concept that not only reduces waste management costs but also turns it into a valuable energy source. 💬 “This approach not only saves energy but also reduces environmental impact and stored waste,” explains Priit Tiit, Director of Projects at Adven Estonia. 🔗 Read the full Adven & Eastman partnership story here: https://lnkd.in/dnJ2yA9e ℹ Contact our Teemu Helistekangas if you wan to discuss this case further. #byproducts #productionresidues #wastetoenergy #energyservices #chemicalindustry

🔊 Speira is making a significant investment of eleven million euros in the implementation of four new recycling furnaces. The plants in Grevenbroich and Töging will be enhanced with two new furnaces each, replacing the old equipment with modern systems. These four tiltable rotary furnaces will expand our #recycling capacity for low-grade scrap, such as heavily contaminated scrap and dross from the melting process. #redefinethelimits #inspeiradbyaluminium #circulareconomy.

📢Speira invests NOK 414 million in a new furnace for recycled material! "This investment secures a large number of jobs in Holmestrand for the foreseeable future. The old furnace has been in operation for 50 years and the new one is expected to last at least another 50 years. This is very good news," explains Jon Gaasholt, plant manager at Speira Holmestrand. With the new furnace, we will be able to process an additional 22,000 tons of scrap per year. This means that about half of the site's production will be based on recycled scrap. This will reduce the carbon footprint of the Holmestrand operations by 150,000 tons of CO2. The furnace will also reduce NOx emissions and odors from the site. The extensive project to install the new furnace is expected to be completed by summer 2026. #redefinethelimits #inspeiradbyaluminium
