In some states, physical therapists are free to use dry needling to help patients find relief, while in others, it’s completely off-limits. Why are these laws so inconsistent? And does this patchwork of regulations help or hinder patient care? Check out the legal status in your state, and tell us how it impacts your practice. #DryNeedling #PhysicalTherapy #PatientCare #PTLaws #HealthRegulations #PhysicalTherapists #TherapeuticNeedling #PTPractice #StateLaws #SPRY

Creative Arts Therapist | Drama Therapist | Empowering Organizations Through Therapeutic Arts | Lead Therapist, It's Yours. Creative Healing| LCAT
This post is not about doctors, asthma, or caregivers. It’s about the role of TRUST and COMMUNICATION in healing. The healthcare system is currently battling low recovery rates among patients with chronic conditions. It’s not a prescription problem. It’s not even a question of skills or capabilities. The answer is simple: most patients no longer trust the word of their caregivers. They trust the word of some holistic or DIY treatment influencer on social media because they feel connected to them. They feel like they belong to a community. I’ve worked with hospitals and nursing homes that saw the need to integrate play and community into their systems, and in less than 6 months, recovery rates improved drastically. Community builds belonging, and belonging builds trust. I’m currently offering support on community building for caregivers. If you’re trying to improve recovery rates and communication with your patients, send me a DM or book a call via my Calendly. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gZWWYkqy #itsyourscreativehealing #JenniferRichards #CreativeArtsTherapist #DramaTherapy #mentalhealthcounselor https://lnkd.in/egRvaEe6

Meet Maddie! In September 2023, Maddie was in a car accident and sustained a spinal cord injury that left her with no feeling or movement from the waist down. After inpatient rehab at Sheltering Arms Institute, she transitioned to our intensive outpatient therapy program to continue her progress. With the dedicated support of her physical and occupational therapists, Maddie focused on regaining her strength and mobility with the goal of returning to her passion: caring for her animals. Upon completing therapy, Maddie was referred to the PowerEx program at Sheltering Arms to help her transition to independent exercise. Watch Maddie’s story to see how far she has come after months of hard work. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished, Maddie! Aptiva care managers act as your senior parent’s advocate, helping to ensure they follow doctors’ orders. This can be challenging if a senior has memory difficulties or problems reading fine print. Aptiva takes the lead when issues with the care and supervision of your aging parent may grow to be more complex and demanding than you can comfortably manage. #aptivacaremanagement #medicaladvocate #caremanagement #patientadvocate #eldercare #caringforseniors
