#Physicians, #NP's and #PA's: A great question to ask when you're being interviewed for a new #job. Are your current Physicians, NP's and PA's happy in their roles working for you? Of course, what will they answer? Now say, "Prove it." They may offer to have you talk to one of more current employees, you may have already done that. Ask for a list of all current employees and contact info, and then call random people, not the carefully selected ones they choose. Listen carefully. If they don't want to let you do that, alarm bells should go off! Other corollary questions, "What is your turnover rate for this position? How many openings do you have out of total folks in this type of position?" Employee beware!

Another Day Another Site Visit ! Western Region Ambulatory Talent Team facilitated a site visit at Cohen's Children's Pediatric Specialty, a brand new building in Staten Island. Other than meeting with site leadership as a means to nourish a long term relationship, there are many reasons why we in Talent Acquisition prioritize quarterly meetings: 1. In Depth Understanding: Our team gains a comprehensive understanding of the sites operations, culture, and work environment. This allows us to better communicate the role and workplace to prospective candidates. 2. Enhanced Job Descriptions: This equips our team with the ability to create more accurate and compelling job descriptions that attract the right candidates. (Think about specialty for position specific roles on a clinical spectrum) 3. Credibility: Ability to speak authentically about the site during interviews that leads to building trust and credibility with candidates. The more lucid the conversation the better the outcome; usually. 4. Identifying Challenges: A simple 2 hour visit allows us to addresses any challenges or unique aspects of the site that might affect recruitment. A proactive approach prevents further conundrums. 5. Customization of Recruitment Strategies: Tailoring recruitment strategies to the specific site's needs become easier with firsthand knowledge, leading to more effective hiring outcomes.
