Without the support from the The Racing Foundation many organisations like ours simply would not be able to survive. We are extremely grateful that we are able deliver the work we do with the backing of such a key organisation that actually understands our needs, aspirations and struggles better than most allowing us to deliver our work in confidence. It’s no secret that in terms of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion the Horse Racing Industry is miles ahead of other equestrian disciplines, one can only hope that these other equestrian disciplines such as British Equestrian learn and take note of what is needed to help make the changes needed to make improvements for all communities to benefit from equestrian experiences. #equestrian #equality #diversity #inclusion #representation #racing #communities #culture #charity #wellbeing #support
🎥 Join Julia Budd, Chair of the Racing Foundation, as she visits FREEDOM ZAMPALADUS at The Urban Equestrian Academy (UEA) in the latest episode of the ‘Julia Visits’ video series. The UEA aims to break down barriers in the equestrian world by widening participation and access for people from diverse communities. About her visit to Leicester to meet some of its students, Julia said: "It's very exciting as quite often at the Racing Foundation we will sit in a boardroom making decisions about funding, and you come here and see it alive."

"We are here for the golfers, and without them, there is no golf club. That is our main driver for using feedback". - shares Anna Wickberg, Golf Club Manager at Idrefjällens Golfklubb. Effective teamwork and the use of feedback have greatly facilitated her role as a Golf Club Manager. 📊 Wickberg considers it crucial to provide data-driven arguments when suggesting potential improvements to the golf course and presenting these proposals to the Board or other club decision-makers. And the Players 1st Surveys offers exactly that: Clear, documented insights into what golfers enjoy and dislike. #sverige #customerexperiencemanagement #golfindustry #growthegame

It truly IS in the details.
"Details make the difference." We could all learn a little something from Hector. For 17 years, he has poured his heart into hole-cutting at TPC Sugarloaf for golf's legends on PGA TOUR Champions.

Who didn't love putting contests as a junior golfer? Playing against your friends for £1, for golf balls or event for a plate of chips, these were serious events. They were more than that though, they allowed us to bond over short contests whilst working on the most important parts of our games. They made us feel like we belonged as part of the junior golf scene at our clubs. In our 11th White Paper, we addressed the issue of belonging. Making new golfers feel like they belong as part of the golfing community is crucial to grow our sport. One idea is to build leagues at your club so that people we can foster this feeling of fun competition and build that feeling of belonging. Discover how to build your golf business by leaning-into making people feel like they belong: https://lnkd.in/eXRvRKPS 📸 : Lukas Opekar (Unsplash)

Applying the 1% to everything we do makes a significant difference to both performance and outcome. Imagine the conversations in your staff or board room or at home, if everyone is challenged and given the green light, the time and resources to implement a single change to improve their workplace and more importantly those around them. Most importantly the recognition for their efforts and the impact of their endeavours. Often the opportunity for people ‘voice’ & ‘being included’ is enough to motive and generate positive results. #motivetheteam #positiveoutcome #bethebestyoucanbe #inspireothers
A good friend of mine sent me this, and I think it's brilliant. Well done to Luke Donald. I'm often asked if these things make a difference in business or sport, and I believe unequivocally that they do. I'd love to see what the US team room looked like! I'm a big believer in doing 100 things 1% better. For the Ryder Cup team, their team room was a classic example of the 1% ers. Did we win the Ryder Cup because we had a better team room than the USA … NO, but when you add up all the hundreds of 1% ers then the answer becomes YES, well done Luke – brilliant. #winningculture #rydercup #golf

Director @ IMD (UK) Ltd | Fire Safety Training & Fire Risk Assessments plus a plethora of other training interventions.
So Luke Littler lost the World Darts Championship. Many say he 'failed'. Yet only one person technically 'won' and that was Luke Humphries (Congratulations Luke, and very well played). Strangely, we are not talking about every other competitor that also 'failed'? What has Littler actually 'won'? Well aside from a multitude of youth championships previously, he's won himself a contract to play in the Premier League of Darts, escalated his ranking, and brought the game of darts to a whole new audience who will be investing in equipment (Oh how I'd love to be a dart or dartboard manufacturer right now)! On a very personal level, he has gained something that cannot be purchased in a shop, or even given to him; EXPERIENCE. Throughout the rounds, you could see him gaining more and more confidence, standing on the stage, being part of an intense national media circus but every time he threw more darts, he's gaining just a little more. Would he do anything differently? I'm sure he's questioned himself, but he's made memories, gained experience and without a doubt will be a force to be reckoned with over the next few years. Now relate that to your life. How many times do you not do something, put something off or simply just wait until everything is perfect? Get out there, take action, reflect, 'rinse and repeat' and gain a huge amount of experience. Whatever it is that you do, that will teach you something... it's up to you how you use that new learning. #training #darts #winner #experience #life #littler
