Ethics | Equity Diversity Inclusion and Belonging | Resilience | Dentist | Dental Educator | Communicator | Speaker | HBCU Advocate | Faith Talker
Kudos. Brava. Kudos. There aren’t enough words…well let us allow some of the evidence to speak for itself… “And then, in terms of the faculty, it's even more so. It seems like every faculty person is the same exact background, older, white individual, most likely grew up in [State], probably went to school at [College]—as well—then practiced, and they're now kind of in their retirement. So, it seems like it's almost the same individual throughout the day. I mean, there are a few faculty here-and-there that are either younger or come from different backgrounds. And, often times, those are the ones that everyone likes to go to because they're more cognizant and aware of the challenges students are facing and are more empathetic to the day-to-day things that we have to do.” Equity, diversity and inclusion are NOT buzz words or solely aspirational goals. They are a matter of true commitments to professionalism and our supposed commitment to healthcare and to do no harm! #equitydiversityinclusion #inclusiveleadership #belonging #healthequity #healthcareethics #academicmedicine #dentaleducation #healthjustice

Oh boy. The truth in this will resound through the creative universe irrespective of industry. You hire creative people to enhance your image then wont let them do their thing because somehow the tech guy who is engaged with business, operations, and coding knows more than the art guy whose sole job is to make beautiful things. The portfolio looks crap for such creative sector employees. If the bosses knew better than the help they hired they should give them the exact designs they want and need. Does it make sense to ask the artist to put their heart and mind into researching the best designs just to receive comments like " nah man, this is not working, this wont work, i dont like it ". Tech and Business people should never lead the artists and vice versa. Period. The former should make sure the product or service works flawlessly & The latter should make sure that it looks good and works in the market. #design #personalview #saas #hiring

🌟 The Power of Light Quality in Modern Design: A Look at Ketra 🌟 In the world of architecture and interior design, light quality is often the unsung hero. It shapes how we experience spaces, how colors are perceived, and even how we feel in a room. With the increasing emphasis on well-being and human-centric spaces, selecting the right lighting solution has never been more critical.
“Frank Lloyd Wright described the light of Taliesin West as being ‘lantern-like.’ The quality of light that Wright could get didn’t really do it justice—but when the Ketra Lutron system was installed, it really felt like it was fulfilling Frank Lloyd Wright’s idea of creating this beckoning lantern...” - Stuart Graff, President and CEO Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Watch the full video and see how Ketra lighting helps restore the magic of natural light to Taliesin West: bit.ly/3XIJGYE

A Marketing enthusiast dedicated to creating vibrant connections and managing brands that resonate I Open to Work & Ready to Wow
I have an absolute different perspective on this!! In the dynamic realm of professional development, the significance of networking emerges not merely as a strategy, but as a cornerstone for unlocking unparalleled opportunities. My journey on LinkedIn serves as a compelling narrative of this very phenomenon, where connections transcend conventional boundaries, fostering mentorship, growth, and potential career avenues. Mentorship: A Catalyst for Professional Evolution Embarking on a career path often presents a myriad of challenges and uncertainties, particularly for students and early-career professionals. It is in this context that mentorship gains paramount importance, acting not just as guidance but as a transformative interaction that shapes one’s professional ethos and acumen. Through LinkedIn, I have had the privilege of encountering mentors whose generosity in sharing their wealth of experience and knowledge has been nothing short of inspirational. These relationships have illuminated various facets of the industry, enabling a deeper understanding and a more nuanced perspective on navigating my career trajectory. The Essence of Networking: Beyond Job Opportunities While securing a position is frequently viewed as the zenith of networking success, the essence and value of building connections extend far beyond immediate job prospects. It encompasses the exchange of ideas, the sharing of successes and failures, and the mutual growth that occurs through these interactions. Networking, therefore, is a gateway to a community of professionals committed to mutual learning and support, offering insights that are invaluable to both personal and professional development. In essence, LinkedIn has not only facilitated these connections but has also underscored the importance of openness to learning from others’ journeys. To students and early-career individuals, I encourage you to leverage this platform not just as a means to an end but as a vibrant community of potential mentors, peers, and opportunities waiting to be explored. The journey of professional growth is enriched significantly through the connections we make. Let us remain committed to seeking mentorship, fostering meaningful relationships, and embracing the myriad learning opportunities that come our way through platforms like LinkedIn. #Networking #Mentorship #ProfessionalGrowth #LinkedInSuccessStories
