Cerebelly is proud to be a non-GMO certified company, as well as USDA National Organic Program (Agricultural Marketing Service) certified and Clean Label Project Certified. As a company founded by a neurosurgeon and developmental neurobiologist, we’ve prioritized the sourcing and testing of our ingredients in an industry where there’s little to no standard.    Unfortunately, GMOs are widely still found in baby and kids foods. This is why it's so critical that brands take measures in how they source their ingredients and prioritize quality, organic ones. What goes into baby food is just as important as what’s not in it: Cerebelly is made with all organic, whole food ingredients rigorously tested for heavy metals and toxins. We urge our brand and retail partners to continue to educate on the topic of how GMO ingredients can harm infant and children's early development. Together we can make a change and ensure children everywhere get the best start possible.

GMOs can be found in many foods eaten in the U.S., but are mostly in ultra-processed foods like hot dogs, chicken nuggets and potato chips. GMO technology can be used to make foods more nutritious, but this isn’t happening yet in the United States and some GMOs contain measurable amounts of herbicides that the World Health Organization has linked to cancer. Scientists are still studying the effect of GMOs on children’s health and more research should be done. But in the meantime, pediatricians can help families make sense of GMO concerns and think through the cost and health impacts of their food choices. Feeding children can be confusing and stressful. Pediatricians are here to help. Learn more about AAP’s latest policy on GMO foods: https://bit.ly/3Tq5C9j

Nothing's more important to me than my little boy, great to see ethical companies taking a stand and doing the right thing.
