Never take a claimant for granted, a valuable costly lesson for an insurance carrier that may just wind up in a full blown jury trial when you thought the claim would settle prior. Selective Insurance from personal experience continues to not mitigate risk, raising administrative costs where possible and to my belief, takes the archaic approach stance when a claim could have been settled amicably prior to trial. This may certainly have a deep impact on the Total Cost of Risk (TCOR). I highly recommend current and future clients to carefully review additional carriers before policy renewals or considering any Selective Insurance Insurance products for your needs.
