A new study by Rutgers University found that multinational employee-owned companies “appear to derive competitive advantages in international markets from being employee-owned”. These benefits include increased recruitment and retention, employee productivity, and customer loyalty. While we’ve long known employee ownership is beneficial for workers and companies in the US, the Rutgers study has important implications for employee ownership’s role in a global economy.
