A new partnership between C-Capture Ltd., Leeds and Heidelberg Materials will see a new carbon capture trial taking place. This trial will occur at Heidelberg’s plant in Ketton, in the UK and the trial which the companies have set up is part of C-Capture’s 'XLR8 CCS - Accelerating the Deployment of a Low-Cost Carbon Capture Solution for Hard-to-Abate Industries' project. It has been agreed that throughout this project, six carbon capture trials will take place and this is being made possible through these projects working with partners based throughout the UK. This article chimes with my opening at the Road Haulage Association forum for the future when I offered that the future is currently like molten glass. Malleable but if we wait to long it will set and will not be so. Molten glass plays a crucial role in the production of glass objects, from the most practical to the most artistic. It is essentially glass in its liquid form, heated (1400 to 1600 degrees Celsius) to a temperature where it becomes malleable and can be shaped, blown, or molded into a myriad of forms. Precision in temperature control and timing is critical throughout this process to ensure the desired outcome. Not unlike the precision and timing required to be a transport lawyer.
