Another cyberattack, this time a DDoS attack, has caused a new outage in Microfost Azure service, DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service. It is a type of cyber attack where multiple compromised systems, often infected with malware, are used to target a single system, causing a denial of service for users of the targeted system. DDOs is easy to understand but executing a large-scale, effective one is quite complex, this attack requires significant resources, including: - A large botnet of compromised devices. - Sophisticated software to coordinate the attack. - Technical expertise to evade detection and mitigation measures.
