Our team recently celebrated our 19th annual Family Fun Day at Carowinds! There were over 1,200 teammates, contracted labor partners and their families in attendance, including our co-workers from CM Engineering. We enjoyed food, rides and many awesome raffle giveaways. Friends and family went home with everything from a new Fire TV to a stylish Marc Jacobs purse. With our teams often in the field, we always enjoy this annual celebration to be together. Thank you all for being a part of the Charlotte Mechanical Family.

The last two years have been quite the journey. We started oceanbox.io as an innovative spin-out from our company to capitalize on combined knowledge in oceanography, software development and scientific computing, accumulated over years in different projects and organisations. At some point I always knew that juggling two CEO-positions was not sustainable, neither for myself nor the companies. And after considering the options and doing some soul searching, I had to admit to myself and my Board of Directors at Serit Tromsø that my future lies with Oceanbox. That SaaS-journey offers something completely new, disruptive, highly volatile, nail-biting, technology advanced, and unprecedented marketwise. But hey, there are probably some downsides too 😂 It has been a great 9 years at Serit Tromsø, with lots of fast learning, experimenting, strategical positioning, tactical twists and turns, combined with the occasional operational face-plant. Working together to build the Serit brand has also been very satisfying. I am proud to leave a company (and Serit AS Group) that has a strong position in the market, and which feels more confident, more agile and with a youthful buzz. Or maybe it’s just me getting older… Anyway, I am not in a hurry and will be around to make sure the new CEO has gotten their feet wet, so no sudden moves anyone. Papi is still in tha house 😉 Meanwhile, you can check out the advertisement-link below searching for my successor. One thing I’ve learned through out my career is that keys to success are all around you. Knowing and understanding your customer is key and you can get that information by just being present and observant. When I worked in Tech with Healthcare Systems I would read what was on the walls, what was posted in the cafeteria, talk to the people at valet and randomly talk to patients. I was present in the moment and not thinking about what I needed to sell but what I needed to understand to make the clients life easier. In my new position with #UrVenue our platform is utilized for experiences such as Nightlife, Pop-up Events and YES even Pickleball. I don’t know the landscape of Pickleball in Utah but the answers are there. #UrVenue#successmindset

Incredible idea! ♥ GAP's latest campaign has truly stolen the hearts of many, including mine. Building a campaign on the unique characteristic features of Jungle and Tyla, who have recently made significant waves across various audiences, is nothing short of a marketing masterpiece. This approach, coupled with a fresh take on GAP's iconic dance commercials, has created a campaign that resonates deeply with all the different audiences, especially with Gen-Z, whom everyone tries to reach through various methods. This is a prime example of a lesson we always share with brands looking to make a mark in the music industry: "Don't just insert an artist into your campaign; tailor the campaign to the artist". Seeing this concept executed so flawlessly without any forceful elements, just by rightly blending and reimagining what already exists and integrating it into GAP's values, fills me with joy. ✨ When done right, music marketing can be a powerful tool.
