What a terrific few days we had in beautiful Chattanooga at THTA's record-setting Governors Conference on Tourism, which brought together over 600 of the state's tourism leaders! We celebrated so many highlights of Tennessee's tourism success, including Governor Lee touting our new BikeTN initiative and the Mega Event Fund’s inaugural recipients. I'm particularly proud of our rural successes, like Grundy County, and so many others creative and hard work that has led Tennessee to becoming the fastest growing Top 40 state! We also celebrated our exciting new direct international flight with Iceland Air. It was an honor to have Fred Dixon, the new CEO of Brand USA keynote our opening session. His enthusiasm for Tennessee's potential to attract more international visitors is truly inspiring. Choosing his hometown state for his first Governor's Tourism Conference in the U.S. speaks volumes about Tennessee's bright future on the global stage. A huge thank you to Barry White, CDME, IOM from Chattanooga Tourism Co. and Sara Beth Urban and her team at the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association for making this event an incredible experience. Here's to continued growth and collaboration in Tennessee tourism!
