🌞 National Skin Cancer Prevention and Screening Week and “#JuinJaune” Awareness Month 💛 Did you know that every year, over 100,000 new cases of skin cancer are detected in France, including more than 15,000 cases of cutaneous #melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer? Shockingly, 80% of these cancers are linked to excessive exposure to the sun. Protecting your skin can be simple: - Wear a hat and sunglasses. - Avoid direct exposure between 11:00 and 16:00. - Apply an (effective) sunscreen. - Seek shade whenever possible. In the spirit of “Juin Jaune”, we're highlighting this national campaign , little known to the general public, spearheaded by Dr. Hervé Van Landuyt, #Besançon's well-known advocate of sun protection for over two decades. ASFODER DERMATOLOGISTES DE FRANCHE COMTE (Association of Dermatologists of Franche-Comté) and the “A Fleur de Peau” association have joined forces to launch this important initiative. Initially focused on Franche-Comté, the “#Juinjaune” campaign aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of excessive exposure to the sun. This essential message is now being extended to the whole of France, raising awareness and promoting healthier habits. Stay safe, stay informed, and always protect your skin! 😎
