As Plastic treaty discussions continue, here are ten things I would like to add: 1. Increase manufacturing responsibility. 2. Increase allowed rates of recycled material. 3. Separated mechanical and chemical recycling. 4. Close the loophole that treats polymers as different from plastics. 5. Introduce an "energy star" rating system on all packaging. 6. Ensure that fewer polymers/plastics are allowed in paper packaging. 7. Increase regulation on bamboo packaging. 8. Increase the standards around biodegradable packaging. 9. Indruce more sub-classes for biobased plastics. 10. Introduce more joined-up recycling standards. #plastics #sustainbility #plasticstreaty #recycling
